Exactly how does a professional pilot talk in a cockpit? The enquiring minds would like to know.

Obviously, I don't know you but if I had to guess, you probably were pretty good at licking balls on active duty because your statement is what the military thrives on-sticking out from one another. Isn't that how the commanders motivate their troops to come in and do meaningless and created work in the name of enhancing ones OPR, promotion, assignment, etc? You know.....taking one for the team while the inner circle is the team.
Community service is something one does from the heart. The left hand should not know what the right hand is doing. Good deeds are not meant for a resume. Are you getting it now, grasshopper?
Bitter? Were you my sq cc? You must have been in some leadership position(s) on active duty because you are very predictable. I call things the way they are. People like you twist things and call me bitter, whiney, and angry. Quite the opposite, my blind friend. I see what I see and I don't sugar coat things. As I've said in my previous post, I'm truly at peace with myself. Bitter.... not at all because the truth will set you free. If you choose to pull your head out of your a$$, you may actually see the truth. It's a choice and I can't make it for you.

I think you can forget the union "volunteering" anyway. HR asked a friend in the interview what community service/volunteering she had done...
With the explicit qualifier of it being "non-aviation related".

It isn't really an interview. It's more like "information enhancement". The questions ran along the lines of total time, PIC turbine, SIC turbine, first class medical?, ATP?, type ratings?, any problems being assigned to Seattle, Portland, LA, Anchorage?, ATP written score (yes, really), and have you flown 50 hours in the last month?
I was advised to check back for future openings.

They messed up the question, then. Alaska has been pushing the 50-hrs last 12 months for a while. Gotta love HR folk sometimes
