Right now it looks like:
June bid
Nov1st effective date
50 new hires
30 Boeing CA’s
Reducing 320 by 20 CA’s 20 FO’s

Are we looking at a reduction bid or attrition? With that reduction I am wondering why the last class scheduled for April is rumored to be an all AB class.

At least the schedules will improve once all of the Busses are gone.

Pretty easy math guys.... stuff the Airbus so once you start the reduction there will be very little if any Boeing to Airbus movement. They want it all to flow only the other way... It equals $$$$$money and they are very cost sensitive!

That makes sense, but who in their right mind would leave the mighty 737 for a french made pain tube filled with used pinball machine parts?

Maybe someone who likes 1980s technology vs. 1960s. Or maybe someone who likes more cockpit room. Or maybe someone who likes having a tray table. I don't know. Those are probably the outliers.
Alaska. Proudly "all" Boeing.

Seniority 250-800 on the Alaska B737 side.... They would all benefit significantly, especially the commuters or those that live in LA or SF

By November they will be short FOs on the airbus. Even Scott D. had to admit that attrition is pretty high and the poor airbus folk have just begun to experience the world of hurt that comes with full membership in the Alaska pilot contract.

This is correct... the reduction only reduces the number of vacant positions that need to be filled. The Bus will most likely become the the junior FO equipment as Bus FO’s bid on to the 737, only increasing the hiring on the Bus. My guess, if this all goes as it looks like right now, a lot of new hires will be going to the Bus.

Good! That means we can indoctrinate them!
