I truly can’t believe the amount of grown adult cry babies posing as “professionals” are on this thread. Y’all have a nice income, a decent schedule, and a sit on your butt (for the most part) job. Yet you still find something to **** and moan about. I’d be willing to bet your either single, divorced or about to be. This thread is so off topic and we have the Unappreciative Pilots of Alaska to thank. I’m sure your all a “real joy” to fly with. IMO you cry baby pilots are what if wrong with the industry. You thing that just because your a big bad pilot that your employer owes you something. You all sound like some entitled millennials who think that they should be making $20 an hr to flip burgers. The only difference is that you earn a fair wage, with benefits, I might add, yet you still manage to have a regular menstral cycle highlighted with the cramps of your so called mistreatment. You complainers about how bad the company is should all give yourselves a big pat on the shoulder for be such a ignorant disgrace to the profession. Your lucky I’m not your boss, because in my world, I’d be enjoying the pleasure firing each of you. This is a trade and profession that many of us love. If you don’t like it, quit *****ing and go find something else.
Anyway, I’ll bite at your troll post. Most the discussion here is comparing Alaska to other airlines. Specifically how much worse the benefits, workrules, pay, etc is. I think it’s fair to discuss how Alaska lags other airlines in most cases, it’s healthy discussion between professionals that eared their way to this position. No one here was given anything. Hate to break it to you but pilots get what the “market rate” is, more or less. So you can cry about our benefits and how good we have it but the company HAS to pay it to attract the people it needs to fly planes.
Maybe you will be vindicated when airplanes fly themselves in the not so distant future, hope you aren’t on the first one with a major computer malfunction.

767 split heads into a-330 and a-321. Then it’ll be back down to 3 airframes when the 767 retires. Back up to 4 though when the 787 starts up. Then maybe back down to 3 if the a-330 gets phased out. It’ll stay at 3.

Averaging 85 hours a month. My total gross minus profit sharing for the YTD is 58000. That’s Without any retirement or benefits but with perdiem. I come up with ~103k gross at 1st year rates.

Can you rent a home on Mercer island with that kind of income? At least no income tax in WA...... yet.

That's over 100 hours per month on 2nd year pay is it not? What exactly are you including in that amount?
