I keep hearing about people having gone to these events, but have never seen one myself. Where are they advertised?

These meetings aren't advertised. You'd need to get a current/retired Alaska pilot to set it up for you. They definitely help but don't always result in a call right away.

TheFly,

Just curious, did you have a 4-year degree? We've done prep for a large number of Alaska interviewees the past few months and If I remember correctly, most of them had a 4-year.

PM if you want. But I'm going to double check our numbers on our clients who had 4-year degrees for the future Alaska candidates on the board.

We've received quite a few post interview follow-up reports from our successful Alaska interviewees over the past few months. Let me comb through them.

I signed up for the Meet and Greet on the 22nd of April, but have not heard back as to if I am one of the 125 selected to attend. It was the first one I had heard of, so no, I have not done one before. If I don't hear back on that, I will ask a friend if he can set up a face to face with a CP in Seattle.

They're big on job fairs and repeated "face time" with recruiters. I would recommend attending this upcoming event:

2015 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering

No I don't know for certain but I would guess at least ANC CP and some pilot and HR reps based on past experience.

I have an internal recommendation that recommended me two windows ago, she didn't receive any acknowledgement that her recommendation was received. This window she got a company email saying thank you for your recommendation. I am the only person she recommended so I am wondering if that means anything with regards to my application? Any thoughts?
