Wow! That's a lot. Any idea (on average) how many people under you one would need to hold a line in SEA or LAX?

SEA--I talked to a SEA FO yesterday who was hired a year ago and is still on reserve. (Btw, why would you want to live in SEA?! Way too crowded and a dreary winter... )

LAX--my roomie in training (we started 21 July, OE was Oct) is in LAX and had a line in Dec, Jan, and now for Feb.

If you care, I held a line in Dec, Jan, and also got a line for Feb in ANC, am sitting at around 80% in-base seniority.

In Captain Gary Beck's newsletter he said we trained 146 newhires in 2014. I would expect about the same next year.

Default Alaska Mins 3000hrs F/W

Anybody been hired at Alaska with less than 3K F/W?

Alaska is #1 choice and I have USCG Alaska F/W and R/W tours in Kodiak. IP time in Kodiak in F/W. We would love to move up to the Eagle River area. I am heading to NW Aviation for the Career Forum and just hedging my bet that the 3K will not be a show stopper. I have 2400 hrs ME F/W. 1100 ME F/W PIC and another 2500hrs rotor time with 1500 rotor PIC, some of that in Alaska as well.

I have 3-4 internal recs but they are pretty Junior.

I volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Hunters for the Hungry, Wounded Warriors. I also own an airplane and am a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight - Mid Atlantic Region.

Any feedback from you guys at Alaska is appreciated!

Looks like you're exactly what the recruiters are looking for now. Just really emphasize the volunteer stuff and your desire to live and b based in ANC.

Thx for the input Mookie!

Would it be reasonable to assume they will open the app window again prior to NW Aviation Conf? Checked it this morning and the FO is still not listed on their Careers Job Search page as an available posn.

The window opening is pending, but a date hasn't been set. Won't be long.

What were the changes on the last fom revision concerning uniforms? It still keeps hats optional. Does that mean there will be another change this spring after we've all had a chance to buy new hats?

My guess....yes. Can't mandate for something we don't have yet.

It defined the official uniform and blazer and hat, and included the transition coat and leather as approved options for now.
