Sadly, most people would rather stick their heads in the sand rather than deal with the problem at hand. Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver. This pilot group just gave it away for absolutely nothing. At least Judas felt remorseful. Majority of the Alaskan boys & girls.... just very numb around the groin area. This is what happens when naive people are led by lame wolves in sheep's skin with a big fat rat at the helm.
Must be nice to be able to switch sides at a whim of $ signs, or be named "company legend" while playing ball for the pilot group. Tom Brady, 2015 MVP, Seahawks!

Seriously what were Alaska guys thinking voting in that last contract? Lowest paid 737 drivers in the industry with NO scope?

For the guys in ANC, this is their final nail in the coffin. And even now they can't see it. He's not trolling, he's absolutely right.

So what can AS Pilots aim for? This may be a long reach but I want to bring it up.

Propose a scope that maintains a certain majority ratio of mainline to regional aircraft, with a seat cap of 76 and a total hull limit. If mainline pilots are furloughed, first class seats will be removed from the regional jets. I believe DAL has similar language.

Aim for pay rates that take average ALPA 737 pay (UAL/DAL) + 3%.

Maintain credit of trips dropped with vacation. Or at least maintain guarantee. If PBS comes up, create language similar to other carriers.

Raise 401K contribution to 16%.

Uniform and headset bank.

Lodging for new hires at least through indoc/systems. Long term training credit raised to 85, including per diem.

Increase int'l override and create an int'l per diem.

Consider the possibility of pay banding similar to UAL/DAL.

Consider joint venture language on an international scale to protect/improve possibility of larger aircraft on int'l routes to be flown by AS pilots.

What else?

I like it... Now we just need A LOT of our pilots to retire and maybe we can get it... So reality will be hows 250 sound and FOs get a pay cut and drop their 401K to 9%.... They'll only show how great the pay is for captains at the road show and never put anything up about FOs.

Well dang. There are more and more juniors on property.. Any idea on retirement numbers by the amendable date? When is that btw? I read it is March 2018, but others say it is 2017.

I like how your thinking. I really hope we can make something like this a reality. I hope the new hires educate themselves on what's going on at the other airlines and demand more from Alaska.

I know you guys are kidding but let's not divide and conquer from bottom up. That's the sort of stuff that got us to where we are today-senior guys throwing the junior folks under the bus.
As long as pilots are negotiating against the company, we will surely get our nuts handed to us AGAIN-never fails. A couple of weeks of negotiations training in Herndon just doesn't cut it. Sure, we have professional negotiators according to ALPO. Major league vs. little league or more like S.F. Giants vs. The Bad New Bears!
