Can someone post a pic of the transition jacket?

Just curious what ya'll are talking about.

PS: Mike, from the cheap seats looking in I gotta say I think you're taking a healthy approach. Life is short.

It's just a simple black softshell fleece jacket that has holes for your wings.

It's pretty much this thing minus the embroidery and, like CassinAK mentioned, grommet holes for wings.

Not gonna lie, I kinda like that transition jacket! But i'm kind of a gear head and I'm from Alaska so...that does look rather business like for our climate!

But I see where others are coming from in terms of it not looking as professional as a leather jacket or blazer. To me, a softshell like that has a certain "Alaskana" look to it that could fit in well with the airline's style - that's from a customer's perspective, I might note.

Speaking of jackets, my San Diego Leather jacket stains my shirt collars black and has for years. I've had it sealed twice and replaced once, but it still occurs. Does anyone else have that issue. I've heard you can send it to Perrone for a cleaning and treating. Anyone have a fix for this?

Same here, but I have a Pop's jacket. I haven't figured out how to fix it.

How much does the PDM class pay? How do they officially notify you when you have it?

I got a call in November that my December PDM class was cancelled (didn't even know I had it) and that they were going to pay protect me for it (I think she said 4 hrs). Fast forward to January bid, I receive an email telling my my PDM classroom has changed ( for January 6th), I don't see it on my line so I decide to bid around it anyway. Bid results come out & there is the PDM on my line. Get email from ALPA asking if they notified me so I said yes & no...now it's not on my line anymore. I'm going to ask for yet another month of pay protection since I did bid around the stupid thing. Anyone else having issues with this?

You guys bid hard lines right? How easy is it to drop/swap/move stuff around on your line with another pilot and/or open time? Or are you pretty much stuck with what you get?

Thanks!

I have had zero luck "trading" with other pilots but moderate success dropping trips & picking others up. I look for pilot-pilot trips to pick up first then open time. Overall, it's not awful and does seem to be getting better.
