There won't be a class here for a couple months at least, so there is a good chance if it happens quickly (doubtful, but who knows what the judge/labor board will do), an April or May class would be free of the labor issues. Our pilot group is very unified and for very good reasons, but games wouldn't be tolerated...pilot group is fired up.
I'm loyal to the core...don't care to do a touch n go...just want to land a good job that will take care of me. Allegiant has a lot of great places to fly from...that appeal to me. I'm just trying to make a gameplan to help in my decision making.

Don’t listen to Packrat, he’s a troll. Rat has an unusual obsession with g4. We don’t know why. He does not work here as a pilot. Any advice from him concerning us is worthless. We see him on here periodically trying to stir the pot.

If you come here, it won’t make a difference either way. We are all on probation for that matter. There is no contract. You wouldn’t have any pressure to do anything, because the same rules apply to you during a strike. You are free to withhold as we all are. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong on this. That said, your qualifications allow you to hold out for the legacies.

Rat, whom do you work for currently? And why do come to our house, to spread your ill will?

IMHO, you'd be better off going to a regional like SKW.

Again, I'm on your side. Why you guys can't figure that out is a mystery to me. I hope you shut this PoS down. I sincerely hope you all get what is coming to you. You're all better than the feces sandwich you've been given.

Any criticism you read from me is directed at your management, not you.

Think this one over carefully. It's lose/lose if a strike goes down...and these guys seem pretty serious that it's going to take a strike to remedy the problems at their airline.

P.S. You just don't "go on orders" at any airline. You have to be granted military leave unless your unit get activated and deployed. No airline is going to be granting military leave during a strike, especially to a probationary pilot.

I'd take them at their word if I were you.

Granting Military leave ?? Are you kidding? You think a company has a choice? Where do you work to think that way? They give the company there papers and go, no questions asked.

Whaaaaa? Nice catch. That’s how I remember it. Rat is definitely a poser.

You obviously aren't a reservist. I've seen guys fired (NWA) for abusing mil leave. They have to let you go for drill weekend, but not for extended periods absent activation and/or deployment.

If your not, you either have no friends, or no one likes you..... just saying...
If this is true why do I know a recently retired 20 yrs active duty O-5 that applied and was hired at a regional just to get some 121 experience? Several months later his buddies pulled him in at United? (I suppose he possibly didn't have quite as good of quals???) Honest question - not flame.

Not sure why you would say that. I am a reservist and I have plenty of friends who "drop mil" all the time. If they want to go on orders they do...I believe USERA laws protect them...

As indicated earlier...have the Delta CJO...waiting on Psych hold...apparently single seat fighter guys are crazy.

I'm just getting my feet wet in this game called airlines...and looking for advice.

CJO with a psych hold from Delta,
Nothing from AA or UAL yet....JB, alaska, and spirit not hiring...VA you need 3000 hours min.
I have at least one friend...but she is a chocolate lab...and no connections to the airlines. Not sure why you would make such an observation. I'm just picking peoples brains....

Mr. Hornet,

I think you just need 121 time before all the legacies come calling.

There's no probation at Allegiant. You're in the same boat as all of us on day one.

Skywest has a better contract so your QOL will be much better. Allegiant has the same airplanes that the legacy airlines fly. That could help with the phone calls. Allegiant also has a much faster upgrade time. SkyWest is a prett senior pilot group. You could find yourself in the right seat for a long time.

Either way, try to make your decision based on where you'd want to be in case the music comes to a sudden stop.

I hope this helps.
Good luck.

Thank you for your service.
