From what I noticed is, which ever "window" you applied. You will not get the TBNT, until the window is close. Now if they window is closed and another one open up and you haven't got the TBNT. It's a good sign. This is from my experience.

Can anyone give me an idea what the reserve time in a day is like for AM and PM? For examole, 5AM-5PM is AM reserve. Also can you bid on reserve preference?

You cannot bid a reserve preference. Reserve days are 12 hours.

You bid, or are assigned reserve. There is no time associated with it if you bid it. The company generally assigns the time starting at either 0430 or 0600. The RAP is 12 hours, and the company believes it's extendable to 18 hours.

What they typically do, is call you at 0431 and put you back in to rest so they can give you an assignment for later in that afternoon.

I keep hearing August 11th... I received an email yesterday saying August 8th is the start of orientation.

And my experience is regional FO (I exceed mins) actively serving in the US mil (non flying). Job fair did the trick.

Aug 11 is the date you'll actually start indoc/ground. Aug 8 is orientation. All employees have to attend orientation and it usually is held the Friday prior to class start. It'll be all the benefits and such that apply to everyone.

Sounds like 36 are supposed to start in that August class. 24 MD80, 12 Airbus (numbers subject to change...of course).

How are airframes and bases assigned for new hires? One would assume seniority within the class?

Which leads to the next question of, how is class seniority determined?

Seniority determined by age. The rest is anyone’s guess. It’s a very disorganized place.
