If I get the job, I would be coming from shrinking Regional, with a Bankruptcy contract and possible displacement to NYC. I would have to commute to NYC from the west coast. So yes to me this is a positive change, plus it's nice to get a call since getting the TBNT email twice in the last 2 years.

Keep in mind you will be put in the "Virtual TDY" base, so will likely be commuting to the East Coast anyway.

Sooo, with the recent "TDY Base" award, upgrade has come all the way down to Dec 2013 NH??!! Just WOW!! What an effed-up system! Again, we had what, 2 days between the email laying it out and the bid closing...p-l-e-n-t-y of time for individuals and families to wrap their heads around the new-fangled concept that the Co. instituted again w/o working with the pilot group. ...just wow!!

Of course. The 80 is such a simple easy to fly airplane. No gotchas at all. 6 months in the right seat is plenty of time to have seen enough to be a competent Captain.

Allegiant is like the movie "Titanic". I sure hope Jack is looking for a boat for Rose. Or, at least a giant piece of wood to float on.

Actually, I think the Dec 2013 class just finished IOE in May sometime, so it is more like 2 months in the right seat. They may not be off high mins yet. But, of course that is plenty of time in this easy airplane to fly.

The 5th person from the bottom of the last seniority list update, May 9, 2014, was awarded Captain. The really great thing is that this new Captain is going to be flying with FO's that haven't even been hired yet once he gets off IOE. Flying the worst trips, into the worst airports, with regularly exploding engines, with a constantly changing base and the famous platinum G4 support system- Nothing unsafe there!

Standing by for another Lake Charles-type incident...
