So G4 has only had 3 engine failures this year-is that the same math that they used to come up with the 21 average days off that pilots get?

Nice try, newbie. No one is talking about logbook discrepancies on the ground or looking the other way and (knowingly) taking an unsafe aircraft. I have yet to fly with anyone willing (or stupid enough) to do such a thing. What him and everyone else are talking about are the in-flight issues/emergencies...smoke in the cabin/cockpit, loss of radar, engine "issues", etc. These things are happening AFTER the aircraft becomes airborne. You keep suggesting people are (knowingly) taking unsafe aircraft... I'm not sure why you're having such a difficult time understanding the difference between the two?? 😏

Get your head out of the sand.

Ah, so things don't break at other airlines. Thanks for clearing that up.

Some of you seem to think that getting on APC and doing nothing but badmouthing the company you rely on to pay your bills is a good idea. Some of you seem foolish enough to believe that if only you trash talk Allegiant enough, nobody will come here and management will come to us bowing and scraping begging us to accept Delta +10%. Let me be the first to tell you that that little fantasy of yours is just that, a fantasy.

I bet if we were offered a really great contract tomorrow, 99% of the comments on here would be about what a great place Allegiant is and how wise you were to come here. You would probably get bombarded with requests from friends to walk their resumes in. It'll be a complete 180. All of the sudden "its a great place to make a career". Your going to look pretty stupid telling the same people you convinced what an unsafe hell hole you worked at has magically transformed as soon as you get a few more bucks in your pocket.

If it is so much better at regionals and everywhere else, then leave. Don't walk, run!! It's so unsafe and your life is on the line every time you set foot in one of our planes right? You look like idiots bu staying. Toiling away as keyboard warriors bashing your company yet too stupid to leave it. I get it if you have a bad day and spout off once and a while. It happens to everyone. Some of you guys seem to have made a second job out of coming on here and going on a witch hunt for anyone who disagrees with you in the slightest. Wouldn't your time be better spent looking for a new job if you felt so terribly unsafe every moment of every day?

Jeez, you're dense. I don't equate multiple engine failures and other inflight emergencies to what goes on at other airlines.

What's really really funny, is all this coming from a guy who ripped on Frontier for "low pay" and "crappy bases". You're a real piece of work and the irony is oh-so-thick.

I must have really wounded you right to your core. There you've been, harboring anger and resentment towards me for months and months. Oh boy!! Finally you get to take a shot at the guy whom so badly wounded you...... Swing and a miss. Better luck next time.

So you aren't a captain, and you haven't flown the 80, but yet you know exactly how everything is everywhere in the G4 system? Who looks stupid now.

Some of us have been around since the beginning, and a lot of us have at least been here since things were good. We know that things used to be a lot better and maintenance hasn't always been like it is now. IT HAS CHANGED.

You sound like what management is putting out to the press, that there are no maintenance issues and it's all just a work action. Even with as little as you know about this place, you and I both know that's crap.

No, a contract isn't going to fix the maintenance. Only money spent on the planes/parts and a different attitude towards safety is going to do that.

You must really think most of your fellow pilots at G4 are pretty terrible people to imply that we are making this up just to get some money.

Yes things break at other airlines, but the rate at which things happen here at ValuJet....I mean Allegiant....is alarming. If an operation the size of Southwest had the rate of air returns that we do, they would be have something between 550-650 maintenance air returns per year. How do you dispute that?

It is so terrible here that I am trying to get out. I wish it were as easy as you say to "run" out the door. I would if someone would call! I have all my apps out and have been attending job fairs with a spotless record. It's not as easy as you might think to get a new job. You seem very offended by the comments on here about how poorly this place is run. You either have your head in the sand or you are helping run the place. I guarantee that if we got a contract that gave us great pay I would still be trying to leave because of how horrendous this operation is. Look at our daily I time reports. They are embarrassing! ValuJet....I'm sorry I slipped again...I mean Allegiant might be successful financially, but they are an utter embarrassment to the industry with the way they treat passengers and employees.

If I read a previous post of yours correctly, you were bad mouthing the first year pay on another thread and saying that you wouldn't fly an MD-80 for $34,000 a year. You sure did a 180 on how you look at this place. Must be that shiny Airbus you're flying around.

+1 NAILED IT.

I watched our pax boarding yesterday shaking my head literally thinking they have no idea what they are getting into.

Still you ValueGiant, CLMP, Vegaspilot, Hotel Pen, CRXpilot, Tyler ect ect. All the same people.

Quit if you're so afraid to work here and it sucks so bad. Actions speak louder than words. You all are lucky Allegiant doesn't have a court make APC cough up your IP addresses, track you down and have you fired. They would also be in a good position to sue you for slander. You should be grateful the people that GAS what you say are you and the other 6 or so guys that do nothing but play keyboard warrior all day on the interweb. I have no respect for people who complain and do nothing about it.

For the record, these guys do not represent most Allegiant pilots. Sure guys are bitter about the negotiation process. I'm also frustrated how it's been going. 90% of the guys I fly with have no intention of leaving. I don't hear the non stop whining and melodrama from people on line. You have a very vocal minority that love to do nothing but complain and exaggerate. Send Maury an email of a copy of your posts. Share with management how you feel. I'll be waiting to hear the reports back from you all on how that went.

Don't be a coward; shut up and quit already! have my reasons for being here and I owe nobody any explanations. If I felt as miserable and scared as some of you proclaim, I'd show myself the door.
