Delta just offered 15% reduced ALVs in exchange for no Furloughs for one year. I know we can get something like that and even better here. Again, be creative and keep an open mind.

It quite literally is the flu. Here is Dr. Fauci saying so with his colleagues. He compares it to severe seasonal flus. Private Dr. Fauci and public Dr. Fauci are two very different people. he goes on TV the very next day after he put this report out and contradicts himself.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/justthe...ic-virus%3famp. It’s in the New England journal if you want the full report. There’s also a video of him ripping off his mask when he “thought” the cameras were off. I’m sure he really thinks it’s a deadly virus.

Here is also the CDC putting out a chart over a month ago BEFORE cases went up and deaths are down comparing it to the flu numerically. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...scenarios.html. Symptomatic and Asymptomatic together are 0.26% death rate. If you’re not in a nursing home that comes to 0.13%. And again, this was over a month ago. If the CDC updated that today it would be way less.

“We are trying to make sure that things that aren’t related at all to the COVID diagnosis are removed, but if someone has another illness, like heart disease, and then had a stroke or other event, it’s not as easy to separate that and say COVID didn’t exacerbate that existing illness. That would not be removed from the count,” she added.

See how the narrative changes when you include the whole story?? I bet you chirp at the media for that, don’t ya?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/newscha...cause-of-death

Took me three seconds to find this. It was the third article that came up in the search engine when I searched “IDPH adjusted Covid deaths”. If you want to verify and then go after states for not doing the right thing, I’m all for it. More accurate data is better for all of us. But what you’re doing now is far from that.
Lol. I’ve already seen that article. Nowhere does it say they have actually already fixed the numbers. It just says they need to. So show me actual data. Show me where they adjusted to 10,000 to 7,500 or whatever. And again, even if they did, how many other states haven’t. I have more of a chance of getting a Ferrari from Santa Claus this Halloween than for the 136k death numbers to be anywhere close to accurate.

Even Dr. Birx says it’s inflated by 25%. Are you saying she’s wrong?

Mother of god, you really are that dumb. They are different viruses. They are not the same thing.

You know how people throw a piece of garbage in the can and yell "Kobe!" ? They are not actually Kobe.
Sometimes people get in my mangenta Miata and compliment it. I say "yes, the Miata is like a Mercedes". My mangenta Miata is not a Mercedes.

Understand? Do we need to define the word literally?

Anyway, hopefully now that we have a negotiation committee we can work towards mitigating furloughs like our brothers and sisters at DAL are.

For the rest, here’s is another article, with 2 day old data.
The Economist Article
My inference was that because we didn't know how to treat at the time of the article you posted it caused a spike in deaths where if the infection occurred now, while we know how to better treat, the numbers may have been less extreme. The second chart in your economist article also shows "excess deaths" for almost every "country/region" flattening to at or near normal levels, even in the US where every other article from MSM is about "surging" corona cases. So yes the first chart is showing that covid did indeed kill a lot of people but all the deaths happened months ago when we didn't know how to treat.

I'm happy that we can devolve into the classic APC insult of "reading comprehension." I guess this conversation is over because you've now pulled out the big guns .

They have been saying this for quite some time re: mortality rate. Its not going lower that is based on the whole enchilada. It is however, much more contagious and if it goes to 60-70% of the population, stay with me here...200 Million X 0.026 = 520,000 deaths! and thats ok? You cant take out the nursing home numbers out. They built this country and you just write them off. Would you feel differently if the most at risk age group were yours?! I'll bet you would be singing a different tune. Another genius who doesn't understand the definition of literally...

I could be wrong, but I’m guessing this post is from a Darwinist who’s for euthanasia and is pro-choice.

I know they’re different viruses. When I say it’s the flu I’m referring to how deadly it is. It’s the same. Experts and math agree. So keep wearing your mask, but take it off during flu season. That makes a lot of sense.

We’ve been opening up for almost 3 months now. Plenty of time for deaths to start ticking up. Yet, they haven’t. At the current rate we won’t hit your 520,000 for at least another 5-6 years because.... science. That’s not my opinion. Look at the rates for the last fews months that we get from our scientists and experts. They’re the ones keeping track. Not me. And that’s if we keep counting murders and car accidents to help fudge the numbers as well. Your using numbers based on worse case scenarios. I’m using numbers and data from our experts that have actually happened. Let’s stay locked in and crash the economy.

Also, Steve Gottlieb (former head of the FDA) says for every positive test there’s another 10 we don’t know about. That puts the more likely case number around 35 million nationwide. Some university studies actually estimate over 50 million. Common sense tells us that’s probably close when most people don’t show symptoms anyway. So yea, if we haven’t gotten to 520k deaths by now, it ain’t gonna happen for a loooooooong time.

Agreed. We could also gain some low-hanging fruit we were trying to get with the next contract anyway.

Sorry to interrupt yet another thread derailing to stick to the actual topic. If only there was an entire COVID forum for you people to argue back and forth and never change the other side’s mind.
