Did you see Texas pilot(or whatever his screen name is) say that reducing the ALV was a concession and he was out? Not sure how old he is, but don't think he's too senior.
I'm thinking most guys posting on here these days are junior, but many read it. Be careful about crapping on those that you might need.

I think it may be age and/or seniority related, but don't think it's generational.
I have seen the same thing over and over in my career. When someone is under the gun , they are willing to do whatever. When they aren't, they don't care. Not everyone, but a lot.
How many junior guys gave a flip about the seniority situation? I had a 20 something telling me how great his career was going to be and that us geezers needed to "just get over" the seniority issues. It didn't affect him, he didn't care. I won't hold that, and the many derogatory comments I've heard about my group on here, change my attitude. I want us all to have a job.

We appreciate those that have our backs. For the record, the guy you describe is just as big of a db as the senior crowd that couldn’t care less about furloughs. Although the twa conversations are all pretty much exactly the same, as a young guy I try to listen and learn from each one of their perspectives.

Yeah, the dbs are spread throughout the list. He wasn't a student, we were just flying a line trip.
I was encouraged by the leaves. It seemed that we finally tried something different, and they seem to benefit both sides. That's why I was frustrated with the NC debacle. But hopefully the new committee will build on the previous committee's work and come up with mutually beneficial plans.

Saabs isn't supposed to post. He's on a leave.
Today's dbs come in all shapes and forms and it depends from where. Eagle has a certain rep, I think there are a couple from PSA etc., but I have been lucky and most FOs where a pleasure to fly with. But there's gossip from the young guy to tell the old timer to get out of his seat to the senior captain demanding the FOs to keep their hand on the side stick until 10,000 feet.
Speaking of: I think there are at least five FOs and CAs out there that will persuade and prevent you (or try very hard) eating the crew meal beef, because of the methane conspiracy.
I miss flying the line

Here here. It’s the same ole same ole....every pilot for themselves. If pilots from ALL unions knew what was good for them, their families and the profession (which they don’t) they should be fighting for a national seniority list. Alas, shortsightedness, ignorance and lack of historical memory is their downfall.

One airline needs to shrink. So we furlough from a different airline? OBVIOUSLY makes no sense. So ... there’s really no point to it. It prevents guys getting low pay starting over. Ok that’s one good thing ... maybe.

.I’ve had more cheese the past four months than the rest of my life combined. Probably a pound a trip.
