Nope....pay rates dont equal a seniority number at a destination airline...until management figures this out they are just throwing away money. IMHO. Figure out a way to get new pilots seniority numbers right away, not alienate military pilots, and not **** off current seniority list pilots, and do it cheaply then that person is worth about a billion dollars. There are other problems with this I am sure...

Document is out...and it's F U G L Y. Could be a scare tactic by the company to force a garbage TA or possibly they are just throwing in the towel on the international side of things. We must have one of the highest rates of turnbacks, diversions, and cancelations in the industry when it comes to WB international flying. Maybe we will double down on domestic and become a feeder for United.

Looks like a standard vacancy to me. List some award a ton or none.

It looks normal if you don’t factor in the 20+ 787 deliveries and the massive retirements off the wide body aircraft. This is a shrinking bid. They can’t train enough to cover the flying because the Check Pilot job sucks so bad. Isom should get fired. He created this mess and now wants us to get him out of it.
The negotiating committee is about to serve the BOD a proposal. Even with the BOS, ORD, and LGA capitulators I don’t think it’s going to be enough to vote on. We have a massive amount of leverage because AA screwed up training so bad.
This is going to be fun to watch. We can’t man what we have. Add in retirements and new aircraft and then you have a massive conundrum.
Only a great contract could solve their problem and I am not holding my breath for that.

Closes on September 21st at 2000 central I believe, and you can bid on it if you have system access (can’t remember if that worked already day one, think it was day two). So the class that starts the 21st is probably going to miss it. Next week’s should be able I reckon.
