Nothing is confirmed. If you read the highlights of the AIP you would have found the speculative answer to your question. 2023 starting May 2nd is 21%. 2022 is 14%. Speculative posts have said 18% from Jan 1st 2023 to May 2nd 2023. If 2022 is 14% then that would be the lowest possible scenario.

So how that person came up with 9% for all of 2023 makes zero sense. You’re somewhere in the middle between 14-21% or 18-21%.

Again, all speculation at this point.

Yeah, without the contract language, all we have to go by is what was bullet pointed and reading into non contractual language. I'm optimistic it will be 18% from the beginning of 2023 until the 21% kicks in.. although this alone isn't going to sway me much.

Sounds like a really smart way to encourage the pilot group to pick up OT over the next few months and make sure the summer schedules runs smoothly.

We got out What A Burgered on that one, but it’s not a straw breaker imoho.

Exactly. One thing we're good at here at American is leaning forward to scoop up as many crumbs as possible, and management knows it. But hey, at least I get to look forward to another e-mail thanking me for all my hard work over the holiday/busy season.

On a different note, I just dropped to a single three-day next month. I'll let the premium *****s do their thing while I continue being a lazy bastard. The circle of life here at AA.

I think this PM, OG, or PR is a moot point nowadays unless is a WX day. Can’t remember the last time I saw a reserve list used completely, plenty of reserve guys not working that could do those premium trips.

True, but I didn't mean in general - just when the operation is stressed. Anything offered as OG or PM is gonna get flown, and I was just agreeing with FNGFO that it'll be especially true with the way the 2023 retro is structured.

This isn't even close to be the main communication platform for AA pilots as it seems to be for Delta and other airlines. There are about 3 or 4 other discussion resources that AA pilots use that dwarf APC and are closed to the public.

The Line is like a bad car wreck. You know it’s ugly but you just can’t turn your head away

Well actually the math works out to 9% following his comment. The actual totals don't matter since we are talking percentages.

Assume $10,000 per month is your pay.

3 months at $10,000 = $30,000
21% of $30,000 is $6300
7 months at $10,000 = $70,000 (thats January thru July assuming August 1 D.O.S.)
$6,300/$70,000=9%

the 18% number is using the same logic, but assumes 21% on 6 months (Jan. 1 thru June 30th).
6 months at $10,000 = $60,000
21% of $60,000 = $12,600
$12,600/$70,000 = 18%

But, based on your comment I assume this is all speculation, and no one as of yet really knows.
