Can someone clarify if the “eligible pay” for retro calculation includes your 410K contributions, or just your hourly earnings over that period. Thanks.

Pooopoo out.

Default A22-100 and smaller blended rate🤢

I’m leaning toward more of a yes vote butttt one thing that’s really bothering me is this blended rate. To me, it looks like a repeat of eat the young. The A220-300 rate falls in line with the NB aircraft. However, A220-100, E190/95 and smaller have this group one rate. It’s isn’t so bad stand alone, but the quick reference guide states that if 2 of these type aircraft are brought on property it now falls into the “blended” rate, which is absolutely TRASH. I can see AA going to Embraer and striking a sweetheart deal for these new Embraers that are almost a dead product because of scope, and brought to mainline. An easy transition especially since they already have flown the 190’s and Eagle brands operate the 175’s. Now you have guys who came from the regionals flying the same equipment for much less. Not saying it’s gonna happen, but, I know what I’d do if I were in management.

Interestingly, after I wrote my post I was thinking. 10 years ago when I started flying the regionals after being a CFI if someone gave me the option to be on a mainline list right away, but you’ll make less for a while, albeit 6 figures, I probably would have wept with joy to have a mainline seniority number making 100k plus. Then I’d snap out of it and continue eating my McDonald’s on the corner of my crashpad that I commuted in from while making 19k. 😖 Glad things are different.

It will go to mediation and nothing will happen until at least 2025.

I believe this thing will pass, only because it's so much money. The AIP can be summarized as "if we're mean to you, you get more money". There are no QOL improvements other than more vacation after what, nineteen years? The most horrifying thing to me is that the company gets four months to flex the TALV to 86 hours. Enjoy your thirteen days off every summer, you affable nitwits. That said, I'm a yes, if only because I know we're not going to do better. After it passes, a push for ALPA needs to be made. APA ideals simply do not match mine... Which are seventeen days off, and time with my family.

given this AIP will likely pass, because some guys who have 30 years here can’t keep their finances in order and need a big check to get to their ex wives, it’ll be a hit to recruitment when guys come on here and ask something not about our bases
Im a commuter and will be for life. Our crews are great and I really do love what I di
but it’s amusing to see people attracted to a shiny pay apple but don’t want to watch their kids grow up. guess we will see where this vote leads us if it gets past the BOD, but sounds like isom will get his 50+1 for the next 10 years
I just don’t get this “can’t watch kids grow up, never home bs”. If you can’t either work the system or bid appropriately to get 15-18 days off a month and make at least 75 hours, then you are an outlier. It’s not hard. Why does wanting to be pizzzaid mean you can’t keep finances in order? The lost decade was real. 18 year FO was real. And now, 2.5 year upgrades are real. The wank fest between you and Imsopuss is draaining.

Pay tables are good. QOL provisions are lacking. Guys on their way out (which won’t have to deal with this contract for long) will vote yes. It’s the nature of an industry based on seniority, get yours and pull up the latter. Guys on their way in, well guys a year past on their way in anyway, will be frustrated by this but I see enough people in the middles voting yes for this to pass.
