Can we finally put one issue to bed for good please? New hires will get 401k, and the pay raise is on date of hire. At last.

To prove that it’s still possible to ask a question about it : what happens to the in between folks who already got hired but aren’t at year 2 yet? 401k wise.

I believe you will now get "Year-2" pay 12 months after your date of hire. Versus 12 months after LOFT or whatever event that triggers it.

copy that on the pay anniversary. I just meant the 401k contributions that are mentioned “for new hires”. I assume that means for new hires, company will now contribute on day 1 instead of after a year.

just curious what happens to someone who is in their sixth month for example. Contributions start from contract DOS onwards? I’d assume there’s no “retro” on the 401k.

first page of the quick reference. Third section. I also didn’t see it first time around. Guess my eyes got drawn to the pay tables right below it lol

I am not one to complain much, I have 30+ years left here now, I had the option to go to any of the 3 and I chose AA because it felt like home

but this AIP lags in many places and is not industry leading like the NC and APA has said it would be

i was fine with the 14 hour call out outside DOTC, but “excluding the first day of the reserve block” really gets me. What’s the point? I know we don’t start til noon but seriously

we lag in life insurance, zero extra sick time accrual (60 isn’t a lot, it’s like 2 5 day trips, give us 80 or something), vacation CREDIT is 3:40 until 2026, though 4:35 pay stars a year before ratification, which means your vacation day doesn’t credit nearly as much as delta does for 3 years, and in 3 years it’s still 35/mins less a day of credit… like what

Agreed definitely on the sick time. Bare min should be 100hrs a year. I would of liked to see vacation credit be at least 4hrs. That's what allowed you to have more days off in a vacation month. My other big thing is holiday pay...5:15 is great if you don't fly that day.. But what if you fly 6hrs? So instead of 12hrs paid it's only 11:15?

Once you start complaining about holiday pay being your “other big thing….”

🙄

Considering our STD will still suck, the sick time accrual is an issue for me as well. The company knows what they're doing. This agreement was designed to get the top 1/3 of the company to vote "YES" and they'd roll the dice on at least getting 18% of the bottom 2/3 voting YES as well.

So the big question is - what happens if, by chance (most likely no chance), this gets voted down?
