not complaining. Just saying when you have to drive in- SC is not always that great, that’s why I won’t go back. Life is great now as a 35%-er.

I was used as short call a lot too. Eventhough i am within easy shortcall drive to work i had enough of it. I started bidding long call because if they are going to use me all the time any way I might as well get the advanced notice and have some ability to proof. Still get used about the same but so far it has been much better and less stressful.

Only requirement they really have is to get it out to the new hires no later then the day before class starts so they have at least a day to plan.

I was getting used on LC so much I was consistantly averaging over 80 hours per month. I had to go back to a line to take a breather.

I am roughly 95% so my choices are SC or MAYBE LC.

For this reason I am waiting until I can hold a line to bid to the left seat. Life is good at the moment, dropped my whole month and picking up what I want right now.

And why many pilots don’t even want to upgrade. It’s a nice problem to have.
