yes! Let’s hurry up and get some slots at DFW and CLT so new hires can be to be at 99% in bid status for 9-12 months (while slightly more senior people continue to transfer in every month)!

It took me three years from hire date to hold CLT FO and I was lucky enough to be on reserve. We have CLT CAs that have been on property less than that.

I cannot comprehend how y'all will get through life if you're already at this level of discontent.

No kidding. When I started it was at least 3 years for CLT and I expected it. I was got in at one and was ecstatic. Right in time to get a warn letter and end up back in New York when I was recalled for another 7 months. And a year on reserve. And I was thrilled it was all only a few months or years. Flew with a fella recently who was lamenting his 2 month commute to DCA and the probable multi year wait for upgrade. Is still historically fast.

When I got hired I went straight to CLT and had to wait 6 months for MIA.

Never know how it’s going to shake out.

Probably plenty of people would take 99% living in base vs commuting for a better relative seniority.

Or just commute to LGA...

I don't live in any of our bases, but I'd sure take 99% and live in base vs commuting.

sure. If you want to be tied to the SC leash.

Personally- if I could have started out somewhere (commutable) as long call or a line holder, it would have been way better than being on short call for a year+ and constantly watching the phone and the APA reserve app trying to figure out if I need to get moving along.

Agreed. I'll be on SC for at least another year. In based. It's not bad. I don't love Ras and the buckets now but seems like most fos aren't flying at all on reserve
