for me- I hated SC- I live “in base” and drive 3 hours to work. I realize we don’t have a specific time to show to work, but I couldn’t play that game. I don’t have it in me.
That first year, if I could have had LC or a line and flown up the day of or night before a sequence, it would have been way less stressful.
I’ll never go back to it. If it means staying in the right seat for an extra couple of years, so be it.
I also would have rather hit VMax every month than not get used. I’m here for the most money I can earn.

The few times I've gotten transitioned to SC I just have everything packed and have shaved/showered and wait for the call. Risky but so far haven't been burned.
So far since RAS has started in Sept I've averaged 7.5 days a month working as a LC CA. Feb looks like a **** show though.

Yeah, Ive been hearing that too. The junior CAs I fly with once in awhile are getting wrecked, especially SC.
I think this ties in with the above quote. Many way more senior CAs banging sick short-notice resulting in the SC CAs getting hit more than on the FO side, I think.
