changing bases should not effect your withhold time.

it can. It definitely restarts your withhold clock. Thats how a bunch of 190 guys got withheld for 2-4 years.

Because a new hire getting PHL 320 generates one training event. You going from 737 to PHL 320 generates at least two training events. Much more expensive and inefficient, hence the withold.

yeah it should not it’s bullcrap. This vacancy process is flawed it should be done once a month

I understand that I waited a year for the withold, so I decided to change the base thinking I’d be going to training soon and had no clue it reset the withhold “up to a year” bull crap which is one year withold let’s be real. So I’ve “done my time” and now there’s over 2 thousand on the bus below me and more coming in.

Agreed that the vacancy process needs an overhaul. Monthly vacancies would be a huge quality of life increase for us.

And the fact it takes a MONTH to “run the numbers”.

Should be addressed next contract.

It used to be monthly. Taken away in BK. Company can do it more often than they do now but they don't. Apparently they like the 5x a year cycle (often Jan/Mar/Jun/Sep(Oct?)/Dec).

So any word on if people are getting the aircraft and bases they want? Since it's based on your age for who picks first, I'm 46 and if I head over to AA I'd have picked the A320 to PHL or any Airbus available starting out.
