After PBS is installed, you will see how the "efficiency" really effects pilots required to fulfill the schedule.

If it didn't save pilot jobs, why on earth would mgmt want it so bad, unless you really give mgmt no credit for trying to save money/manpower?
Where did you get the 1,146 number? This is a huge jump as ~500 was the previous number that a Scheduling Comm member was using.

You are referring to combining domestic/international divisions.

Horton himself said, PBS implementation, this was prior merger, means roughly 1500 jobs for an 10,000 pilot group. I would imagine its more like 2200 for an 15,000 group.

An APA scheduling committee member told me this month that PBS would reduce staffing by 500 positions.

Horton may have been referring to PBS implementation across multiple employee groups such as, but not limited to FAs.

21 recalls on Tuesday. Wide seniority mix, half former TWA. A small handful of MIA 320s and DFW S80s but most headed to LGA 737. Question was asked about getting newhires into the mix anytime soon. Answer: Maybe a few next month but not looking good. Probably all recalls until August.
