Three over the course of a year hardly counts. I think the writing is on the wall that AA primarily wants to hire flows to encourage young pilots in school to go to the regionals and to up hold the contract. There will still be OTS hiring with mil as a certain % of those but let's call a spade a spade, OTS hiring will be a small minority until they drain all the flow pilots. It is what it is. Just my 2 cents.
Disclaimer, I a mil Jan 2015 hire that is still seating on the bench waiting for my turn.

That's three over the course of a year that I know of. It's not like I know of every ANG and Reservist who's had an app in with them. I know another two who've gotten hired with United in the past year and United has been hiring military like they're going out of style. Every pilot in my unit who's applied to a major airline in the past two years has gotten hired (Jet Blue, SWA, UPS, AA and UAL). Granted it took them at least a year to get a call, but they got hired. The rumor from several AA people I've talked to is that "flood gates" open in January. Take that for what it's worth.
Best of luck to all!

Huh? Recruiters absolutely know the number. Maybe not the lower level ones, especially if the number just changed, but PT knows the number off the top of her head. I've watched John Hale turn to her at the WAI to get the correct number.
Drinking beers with one of the top three guys last week. Chatted with another of the top three guys last week. One's been a friend for about 18 years and I've known the other guy since Sep. 1991. Spoke with a fleet manager, friend since 1986, last week.
One thinks 600 is about right. Fleet manager's plate is so full he's not wasting any brain power on the hiring numbers. Subject didn't come up with the third guy.
As far as APA goes, if the number changed RM or RJ would call over to PT to get the updated number.

But if you've been around AA long enough you know the 2016 plan isn't done. Everything is subject to change once it's approved. That typically happens in Oct, or early Nov, with CP briefings being done in November.

The 2015 plan isn't done yet.... $
It is not just flows right now, there is a backlog of undefers and a training jam.
Both if those will ease up.
At 50/mo, there would normally be room for 20-25(?) OTS.
Yes, in may, the undefers will be called in reverse order and have to decide as they are called. Most folks are guessing a pretty low percentage, like 10-20, of them actually accepting.
Disclaimer... I don't know #3, or even #42
Just another useless MB opinion.

Any ANG/Reservists out there with an app in the system? I've got a app question: For your job history; since us ANG/Reservists don't PCS, did you break out your employment showing every position you've been in with your unit or did you lump the start/end dates into one entry with your most current job title? My resume shows every position I've held with my unit in date order. Should my employment entries match that?

I just used my whole period in the Guard as one entry with one very broad description of all the things I'd done. If you are trained in anything special I'd break it out as well as throw it in the education tab. Could be total coincidence but a month after I updated I was a Safety officer I got the call.
Good luck!
