Soda - the guys I've been working with who get resume improvements (IP, upgrade, 121, new job/square filler) appear to have success with getting contacted.
Only one guy not hired and he started his upgrade last week. It will be interesting to see if he gets called on the next six months.

All,
Interestingly enough I received this e-mail from pilot recruitment today. I was interviewed but no CJO. This should give some of the rumors on here some validity.
Good afternoon,
We realize it has been some time since we reached out to you so we thought we’d take a minute to share a bit of information with you.
Shortly after you interviewed, we were told to focus our attention on our flow-through and recalled pilots. We’re currently still in that mode and we expect the remaining four classes in 2015 to be filled with a combination of flow-throughs and recalls.
Our Crew Planning department is still determining our hiring needs for 2016. Once we get a look at those hiring projections, we should have a better idea of how our new hires will be sourced. Until then, we really don’t know.
Please don’t hesitate to send your questions to this email address and we will relay whatever information we can.
Again, we apologize for the long wait. It was never our intent to interview you and have you wait months and months for the results.

The LUS side was the same way. They didn't inform you that you were hired until you had a class date. I asked someone in HR after being hired and they said it changed your legal/employment status somehow.

I think the jury is still out on industry wide hiring practices flow/OTS new hires.
I've said a long time ago the last major to have a solid flow will be in a pickle a
sometime in the near future. Seems like Untied will be the last to have a flow. With that said the majors as of right now and most likely the next 3yrs won't have a problem filling classes and being pickey about who's in them but the supply line will run short sooner than later.

in latest pilot meeting in clt with parker these numbers came directly from managment "500-600 total new hires of which 400-450 will be flows" if you factor in the 100-120 recalls expected next summer its gonna mean few if any OTS hires
