They were asked before they showed up - "if given a choice, which side would you prefer?"
It appears that maybe all of them (?) got the 'side' they asked for?
Basically you're choosing PHL or the choice of LGA/MIA right now.

In May 2015, they asked us which side we preferred, but then ignored our preference and assigned "sides" based on airline from which the hires flowed. There were at least two Envoy flows who wanted the US side, and several street hires who wanted AA, but they assigned all Envoy flows to AA and all Piedmont/PSA flows plus the 5 street hires to the US side. Hopefully they've changed the process to include seniority-based preferences rather than arbitrary assignments.

6/6 on the LUS side got E190. The reason is because everyone leaves the 190 after the first year for the AB. In the upcoming classes there will be larger numbers like 10-15 going to the LUS side and then I'm sure not all will be E190.
Out of 50 of us, 16 were returning furloughed pilots, 23 flows and 11 OTS. Of the 11 OTS, about 3-4 were regional and the rest military.
Hope that helps.

Yes lucky, thanks, that's exactly what I meant. PSA and Piedmont flows do not bring vacation accrual and do not get 401k contributions for the first year. Yes Envoy, PSA and Piedmont all have flow agreements but they are all very different.

FYI,
The 19 Jan class won't have a LUS class. All will go LAA. Moving forward there should be two classes a month starting March and they should have LUS and LAA.
Assignments will be going nationwide from what it sounds like, not just east coast but based on the needs of AAL.

TOGA - I've been guessing that LAX might get new hires this year. Guys are getting LAX transfer before they finish initial fleet training so it's almost already happening.
There's at least one Feb. class. Guy I know is in it. So Feb's at least one and then two(?) eff. March?
As soon as guys get 'on property' and a company sign-in, they can apply for any seat/base on the AA side(LUS job run is different). Job run is done monthly(currently in process for 1 March). That's how guys are getting LAX, or a base/seat/division that's different from their initial assignment, before finishing training.
