Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm just a knuckle dragger mil guy with 0 121 experience so I have an alibi.
Why wouldn't a new guy on the US side like going to the 190 with an upgrade possibly so quick. It's more the money question really, because I couldn't care less about moving over to the left seat. At least not right now. Seems like 130ish pay isn't so bad and movement up in seniority seems fast if you can move over to the left seat so quick. Holding a line quick?...
Again, naive new guy here just trying to learn the business so let the spears fly…looks like there is a high probability of going US in the next few classes so i'm trying to school myself up.

If you commute, I'd go with the Airbus. The pay for a 190 captain and an Airbus FO reach parity around year 5. Beyond that, you'll make more as an Airbus FO...not to mention that if you can hold a line as a year 3 Airbus FO, you'll probably make more than a 3 year E190 captain that's still sitting reserve even though their pay rate is (slightly) higher.

Lets say you want to get DFW. Lets also say you expect a US class in June but no AA. July you expect a US and AA class.
Do you tactically delay one month to improve your chances for AA side?
speaking of that. Calls should be going out next week based on resent history!

Tough call man, unfortunately it did not seem that there was any rhyme or reason as to who got which side. Total crapshoot. You could either be a genius or get the same result with less seniority.
