I'm on the 777. The most junior ONT FO shows a 01/06/20 date of hire.

MIA is senior for both Captains and F/Os. Junior F/O is a July of 2017 hire.

ANC and ONT are the junior bases for the 74/76 respectively.

Miami on the 74- a new hire will probably never see it for at least 4-5 years, maybe more.

Miami has 5 hotels that are open for AAWW pilots so we can train in MIA. Our new hire classes will be full for a while. We are bringing planes back out of the desert, and the demand is quite high at the moment.

A number of airlines have done that. They one I read about doing it now is SkyWest.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me. I am flying the 747...

I can think of one.......Airborne Express, now known as ABX Air! I’m sure you remember the two guys that quit and went to America West, eventually were furloughed from there. Airborne welcomed them back with open arms, albeit as new hires on probation. Those guys lost a lot of seniority while they were gone.

I believe our folks mentioned they would consider it from the last weeks meeting. Couldn’t imagine why not, especially if it only took a week of rehash and 3 bounces in the sim if you left recently. I don’t know what it takes, but probably faster than from scratch and a relatively low learning curve in all areas.
