Does Atlas give any value to turboprop PIC and then SIC jet, I mean historically when calling for interviews? I've read on here about the occasional RJ FO getting a call but is this the exception or the rule? I know the market isn't as ripe with high time Jet PIC guys like it was just 2-3 years ago.

Truth is Atlas has lots of resumes on file. Going to a job fair gets yours pulled for further review. It may seem like a ridiculous way of doing it, but all the airlines do it and it shows to them that you are more ambitious about the job than just sitting at home complaining.

I don't think they care. I am a 9 yr RJ FO with no TPIC. They are hiring lots of them. If you meet the mins, then you are considered. The reason some guys with low time are getting calls, and other guys with 747 types and high time are not, is primarily job fairs. Some people may not agree with that statement, but I asked around during interview, it was the very common element.

job fairs
I don't really care for the idea of needing to attend a job fair at our expense to secure and interview for a potential job, however, it seems to be a necessity these days. If you don't agree with the practice then don't go and keep waiting for a call...
I broke down, went to a job fair, got a call after the weekend to come in for the interview. I had already completed the online assessment with no word back prior to the job fair.
I have talked to a couple people at Atlas that never applied to Atlas. They simply attended the job fair, stopped by the booth, chatted with them and dropped off a resume. A few days later they received the call to send a resume, PAQ and complete the online assessment.
Long story short- if you really want to work for Atlas try to get to the job fair and chat with them.

Next tentative class for the 747 is Feb. 26th.
OE is very backed up and they are trying to reduce the time from Indoc to the line.
