What we heard in MIA this month:
The iPad is an approved device (for years).
The Jepps charts are approved on the iPad.
Atlas got FAA approval to use the iPad in the aircraft a few weeks ago.
Jan the 1st quarter Distant Learning (CPAT) comes out, with an iPad/Jepps module...when each pilot completes the online training, they are certified to use the iPad on the aircraft without restrictions.
Also, several Check Airman are already approved to use the devices in all phases of flight.

This. I'd imagine referencing it as often as I reference the paper charts now, which would leave ample battery if charged prior. However, I can't imagine it would be all that tough to reconnect the USB ports at each station that have been "cannon plugged" INOP.

K4 has iPads on the aircraft......mounts with constant power, GPS enabled enroute charts.... and on the taxi diagrams as well. We also have WSI wx capability on the ground. WIFI hotspots on each aircraft so they can receive email for the aircraft and print capability. I suspect once you have them fully operational you will love them.

Same. Nothing heard. Considering emailing KF. Preference for light twin.
