I have to AGREE with you.
I have nothing different than what ANY AIR CARRIER wants right now!
You work a very long time to amass the qualifications required to BE COMPETITIVE with anyone to be considered.
But, to meet/exceed their qualifications, PASS THEIR ASSESSMENT EXAM, already have WIDE BODY PIC Type Ratings on aircraft that THEY CURRENTLY FLY, and have flown with 3 people, one of which is a SENIOR CAPTAIN WITH ATLAS, it's makes you wonder " WHAT IS IT THAT I DON'T HAVE that causes HR/PILOT RECRUITING to keep
Me Out?"
It makes you ask if it REALLY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH:
1- My Age
2- My Race/Ethnicity
If I have exceeded all the qualifications then the ONLY OTHER THING on the App that will cause them to Discriminate AGAINST YOU
is the EEOC INFORMATION That You Are REQUIRED TO PROVIDE
Prior to the App being submitted.
They can say that "We in HR/PILOT RECRUITMENT Don't get
That information.....and we DON'T KNOW what your ETHNICITY
IS When we Select an Applicant."
And to that, in 2016, I have to call BULL****!
I have just one question.......Why is it that the MAJORITY
of Pilots, WITH ATLAS, are CAUCASIANS?
Including CAUCASIANS that have NOTHING MORE than
REGIONAL AIRLINE......And NO WIDE BODY TYPE RATINGS
OR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE, or, MILITARY HEAVY/ FIGHTER JET
Types?
If it's not meant to be for me......That's okay because you're
Not meant to be a part of EVERY AIRLINES CORPORATE CULTURE,
But, you would, at least, be ABSOLUTELY FAIR
In the selection process.
I don't mind FAIR COMPETITION......That's what this country/society
is about......but, don't make me FEEL like you are OVERLOOKING ME
because of my AGE OR RACE/ETHNICITY.
I don't want to believe that, but, the thought keeps coming up..
especially when I talk to others about the situation, including my
Caucasian Friends.
I don't dislike Atlas Air, I would just like to UNDERSTAND their
Methods of Flight Crew Selection Procedures....Because,
it doesn't seem FAIR OR OBJECTIVE.
🤔

Nobody wants to hear another sob story about how you are discriminated against. I know many highly qualified Caucasians trying to get on and haven't heard squat from Atlas. To tell you the truth I honestly have no idea how I got called and offered the job. In the end a lot of it just is luck.

Does it bother anyone that the top 5 Execs at Atlas are trying to steal $66.6 million from AAWW in the form of a golden parachute? They can get fired, quit, move the company headquarters a small distance (which seems imminent), basically anything, and they will get this little gift. Its nearly 50% of AAWWs profit in 2015! How is this good for business? I would honestly like to know how giving $66.6 million to 5 guys is good for anyone besides the 5. September 20th is the proxy vote for their gift to themselves. Unreal.
R.M. Is this you? I've heard this spiel somewhere before
I have to AGREE with you.

Two of the greatest mysteries of modern times are,how where the Egyptian pyramids built and secondly how does Atlas HR choose their interviewees.
Good luck if you get an interview.

ATTENTION ATLAS APPLICANTS:
Latest rumor from the school house is that 50% of a recent new hire class got pink slipped when they failed their initial new hire check rides. While they were ultimately retrained and were passed, the failures like this remain on FAA records and could have a devastating effect on a pilot's chances of moving from Atlas to a "career airline"[/QUOTE]
This has me wondering if this isn't a preconceived "tactic" to insure these people have no option but to remain at Atlas. Pretty soon you'll need a DUI to get hired so no one else will take you.

This is the only place I've heard this rumor. I haven't heard about mass failures anywhere else. If it were true, I think we would have received an email from the Union regarding it.

2 friends at United with 2 DUIs each so no a DUI won't ensure life at atlas without parole unless they are very recent.
