Had the 7 Feb interview. Appears all the new hires are going to the 767. According to a chat we had with a captain they are going to acquire 26 767's with a crew ratio of 10 to 1. That's good news since they really don't have any FO's on the books. I think the slow down is classics going away and the magnitude of acquiring the 767's and establishing the training program. The 767 programs is still so new and they don't want a huge pool of awaiting training guys. With that being said, they have to start hiring a lot of guys once the planes and training program start to flow. I may be wrong, but thats what I gathered.

Keep in mind, it would most likely take several years to acquire those tails so while the amount of hiring they'd do to staff it looks good...it'll take awhile to come to fruition.

As to the running the others out of business, I was at the 7 Feb as well, and it was my opinion the the folks we were dealing with were very, very smart. And it's not just DOD. They have several ACMI customers for the 76 already lined up with long term contracts so it looks to be a solid start.

As far as the interview, professional but relaxed. No head games and you go through the process in a little over half the day. The writing assessment was pretty much the only uncertainty we had all day---if you have problem filling a page with handwritten English, you should probably work on that.

It was a great experience and I am even more excited to have the chance to be there. Great bunch of folks in the interview group and hopefully we'll be hearing good news in a couple of weeks.

I interviewed in Apr of 2010..... not selected. Has always seemed like a great company, I just hope they don't overextend themselves as tends to be the MO in this business.

26 767's? Wow, that is a crazy number even for someone that is in the 767 program. I have heard some stories to that effect, but please take that with a huge mountain of salt as our Training Center in Miami (like other places...breakfast roundtables around the globe, cruising on a 10-hour flight, etc) if full of these rumors.

That is not to say that it is not a possibility that we would get these airframes, but don't believe it until you are sitting in class, or actually, the cockpit of that 26th airplane.

Good luck.

This offer is contingent on you NEVER expressing any interest in any other companies. If you have, don't waste your time...

Um ... ok. Besides whatever you two have going on, there have been many, many reviews of the interview process on this thread.

Guys, it's been a week and no chatter....I interviewed on 7 Feb and wanted to thank all the guys who provided great advice and info about the interview process. I will never be able to thank you enough. I flew home from a 15 day trip just 2 days prior to the interview where I was on my IOE and took an FAA oral, company oral, and full blown check ride in the jet. So, needless to say, I was in our GOM and Ops Specs the entire time. All the material you guys forwarded to include some dudes on the interview with me was able to get me spun up in two days. Finally, thank you to the enforcers on this thread who keep the conversation only about ATLAS hiring and info about the company. I really hope I get picked up. Being there at the interview along with info gleamed from this thread solidified it for me and ATLAS is where I want to be for the next 19 years (I'll be 65 then).

On another note, any chatter from interviewees? Any calls yet or references being checked?
