Let me expand on that please...

Atlas has had a pool for the last several years, and are likely to keep that going as long as they see possible growth and therefore a ready supply of already-screened pilots awaiting class dates.

That said, the post above from JohnnyKnoxville lays out the known deliveries at Atlas...and we are likely to bring on the property more airplanes than the ones we know about right now.

So, hang on guys, I think those that are in the pool and those waiting for a call...you might be hearing from pilot recruiting folks soon.

At least, that is my view as a line pilot, with a glass-half-full view of the Atlas world.

... and then there are the 40+ retirements between now and the end of 2013. Those guys will need to be replaced so you can add that to the number of new hires for next year.

I heard of a July 2nd class date - 76.

Anything officially on the books after that?

Got the call yesterday for the 767 class July 2nd. I've been swimming since September. DB mentioned there were only a few openings for this class.

Thanks, I'm excitied for the opportunity! I was incorrect in my earlier post, I interviewed in September and received the pool letter October 1st. Long wait, but worth it.

Congrats -- When you get to class I'll bet there will be three new hires as this would match the Captain slots of four. I say only three because looking at the latest award there is one F.O. bidding off the 74 to go right seat to the 76.

So let this board know when you get in there as that may help others plan for when we see "New Hire" slots and can trace those to training dates for the Captain upgrade. Make sense?

Hey Fox what day in September did you interview? I was the 14th. I am still swimming though. Can anyone confirm there is two classes coming up July 2nd and 9th. I have heard both dates but didn't get the call!!

Nothing is more nerve racking than being In the pool and knowing that calls for classes have been going out! I jump every time the phone rings! I hate not knowing where I am in the pool!! Ok, deep breath... Here's to hoping all of us swimmers are in class soon. I know its going to be well worth the wait! Thanks to everyone for providing us info!
