1. Before anyone mentions it, I have read all 525 pages of this threat - up with sick kids most of last night.
2. I am familiar with being away from home 17-20 days - furloughed World - I miss the travel and most destinations (not the coach seating).
I see that there are several furloughed guys that have been hired. How long were you not flying prior to interview? I have a 737 type (GI Bill 2005) that I hope won't count against me in getting a call. Application in/updated for about a year now.

Jepps and FCOM 1 & 2 are on the aircraft, but the FO is supposed to carry the FCOM and CA the QRH. A lot of FO's are carrying a electronic FCOM, just be careful with that, know a guy who had a Fed ride and his company was not apporved for the EFB yet and he ended the day with a letter, didn't help that he was about 8 Revs behind in his Jepps.

I know a few guys that got hired with a no time in type 737 type. There is NO getting around it - you have to be honest why you have it, otherwise it is like a pink elephant sitting in the room. Lying about it is much worse than simply saying that someone else was paying for it and someday it might have helped you.

"So you have a 73 type?"
"Being a sole mil pilot I wanted to round out my mil experience with a taste of civ flight training and a type rating AND Uncle Sam paid for it. Turned out to be a great networking experience and makes me a more qualified candidate vs a mil type without it."
Hired. No further questions
