Atlas Air Hiring

Thanks pnut. Dont give up yet!! Keep showing interest. Just curious, why would that be the kiss of death? I would think that would be a good thing, going to the CP. Do they usually assign you the test on the phone interview? best of luck..

Good luck paidpnuts!
Don't get too down just yet. Thanks for logging in and passing along the info.
The is going to sound crazy, but I hope they call by Saturday or don't call until the end of the month. I'm headed out for 18 days of time in the mountains chasing wapiti. I'll be disconnected from civilization for that entire time. :-/

To all reading this....: This kind of interaction is what you can expect when you come here. Civil discourse about what's going on rather than the bombast that often happens elsewhere. This is a good place to be.[/QUOTE]
Civil discourse is what really defines a pilot group. If this thread is ANY indication, and it definately appears to be, of how the pilot group operates, then this is truely a untied and strong pilot group. Who wouldn't want to work for Atlas? Pilot groups everywhere should take heed and really acknowledge what defines and make a group strong. Thanks Talon, great words of insight...now about that phone call...any time now, I can feel it...

Sounds like the same questions I had for the phone portion. At the end of the phone interview they will confirm your email and send you a link to take the test. I was told to take the test as soon as possible, heard that you start loosing points if it takes too long to get the test done.
Don't take the phone interview for granted, have heard several people that did not make it through. Make sure they know that you understand how the schedules work and that it will not be a problem. They will ask several questions about why you would like to leave your current job, kept trying to get me to saw something negative about my current employer. What ever you do don't say anything negative about the current job.

Read this thread from the page one and don't stop!
This question was answered on page 411. Also, the phone interview questions have been spelled out, too - although there hasn't been a good update on this until now and it is greatly appreciated!
And pnuts, hopefully, the CP will give you the OK for the online test, but you're right - the link to the test would have been the preferred route. If, indeed, you don't get another call, the Atlas HR system is set up to accept your application again after one year. Not great news, but maybe that will still work for you.
I hate to see the guys who seem to really want the job get cut out at the first step when the gouge is right here on this thread. We're doing what we can to help you out. Now's the time to help yourselves!

It was a 914 area code talked to Brittany this afternoon. Very pleasant and nice. When she asked about the schedule I hesitated and wasn't as excited as I probably should of been. I was not asked to do the online assessment test rather she said she would give my resume to the chief pilot which is apparently the kiss of death.
Good luck to everyone seems like a great outfit.

Hey guys and gals, I've been following this thread for a while. I figured it wa time to say howdy. Atlas flying is exactly the QOL I am used to and desire. I retired KC-135 last spring but there wasn't a lot of hiring taking place. I took a CRJ job to stay current. I then got hired to fly 747 cargo, left the CRJ job to start training at the new job and they cancelled my class and furloughed a few. Now my excellent resume looks like I didn't hack it at the regionals which I was really having a good time at. AAARG It's all good but Altas is where I'd love to complete my second career. I'm gonna have to take what ever I can get to stay current. I doubt currency in my RV-8 counts much I also can cook an excellent ribeye topped with garlic and bluecheese crumbles and serve it up with the finest bottle of "two buck chucks" merlot.
