I suspect so. We put in a bid for both 200 and 300 for DHL flying. There were 8-9 on each contract I think. We now have 4 of those 200’s and we think we will be awarded more. Not sure on the 300 side. There was an unknown client asking if we could operate up to 5 757 but due to current staffing I’ve no clue. And they’ve even discussed larger equipment in the future. We all know believe it when you see it, when you’re in a class when it comes to that stuff. But candidly given our staffing needs even if we don’t take on all of it we will be hiring and upgrading guys. But I’m just a line pilot. All of those decisions however are far above my pay grade.

Well some guys elected to return to their companies when they agreed to slow furloughing. They would make more and work less. A few simply couldn’t pass the training due to attitude or aptitude. Some felt the COO made promises he wasn’t keeping and elected to do something else. It’s a mixed bag. Most of our seasoned guys have apps in elsewhere. Can’t fault anyone for doing what’s in their best interest. Nobody here had gone to UPS or FedEx.

We, like anyone else, have been flooded by resumes. And unfortunately for some reason all of our classes had been filled with expats and major airline furloughs. It has not worked out that well as some went back due to their airlines, others quit and some just do nothing but whine about everything. The latter are the ones who need to shut up and just be grateful for the job. But that’s my personal opinion.
The two recent classes they hired had a more blended structure of pilots. So it’s honestly been all over the place. Our HR are notoriously slow and at times have been hard to get ahold of. They may have forgotten. We don’t have pilot recruiting like some airlines. It’s our DO, CP and director of training along with a few others. Basically folks wearing multiple hats sometimes. As such if you have a pint of contact here you’ve got to follow up routinely it seems. And that’s including those with internal recs. Good luck. We will be adding more 200s in January and expanding. So we need good folks here.

Typical 121. No AQP. No plans on it currently. So study the flows, limitations, memory items and systems. Listen to our instructors. They know best about our policies and procedures. I have to say that last part because as of late some cannot figure out cooperate and graduate. We really don’t care how Brand X did it. Anyways it’s not bad. Most who have struggled here have done it to themselves lately and in the cases I’m aware of attitude was poor or conceited. Just being honest.

Dont blame folks for leaving because they recognize that they could put their ticket & career in jeopardy by continuing their employment at Amerijet. After all. They have a right to "protect their tickets" and their careers.

Hey Commit Aviation. I have notices and respect your numerous comments on here. However. In my humble opinion. While it its admirable that the beach boy up stairs has taken the necessary steps in an attempt to cleanup the company. As a pilot there you know well that "the lady in the office" downstairs has weaved her web close and put her partisans in place and they continue to give the substandard training that has been a product of the "36St. model". To the best of my information. In Amerijet's training culture "All new hires are equal. But some new hires become more equal than others"s.

Interview this week and excited to possibly join the team.. I've got a few questions for line guys, I understand there are 12 days off 8 hard 3 soft and the company is frequently junior manning guys with what I've been told without the ability to decline. I'm a hard worker and don't mind being used and abused (regional guy) but say you had your days stacked and a vacation planned and they call you are you screwed? Family in town and they call are you at their disposal 24/7 is essentially what I'm asking.. How is the pilot pay department? Do you guys have to fight for your pay for working days off or trips picked up or contractual issues or is that a non-issue? Planning on relocating to Miami, will that make life easier as a junior pilot? Honestly I've got a lot more questions than that if any current or former line pilot would be willing to reach out I would really appreciate it. Thanks

You find some new place to tell everyone how much they're always wrong and how you're so much right'er? After all...We only heard you were a TRI/TRE un your past life like X125,090 times...
Hope you're making a lot of new friends reporting pilots to management at your new place!
