Former negotiating chairman, BC, now a disputed pairing holder.

THIS is why we have to be so careful about advertising DP flyers.

That is not a disputed pairing in March. It was on his bid line. If you'd have taken the time to aim before firing, you'd know that.

Please!!! Get it right before you smear!!

Unbelievable.

Default No DP

Bluejuice,

I don't believe that trip 77 is currently a DP. Double check the monthly DPs. It probably was at one time, though.

They don't put DP's on the lines in bidpacks!!

Come on guys!! This isn't rocket surgery!!

The CDG-STN-MEM sequence IS disputed in April. But, as I said...You won't find it on a line in the bidpack. If someone is just flying their bid line trips. They're not flying DP's.

Easy there BJ ... pairing 77 isn't on my list of disputed pairings!*? You should do more homework before you make unfounded accusations. You wouldn't like it if we did that to you.

I know BC, I've flown with him. I was about to email him and ask him WT*O? I'm glad I checked the DP list first.

CDG-STN-MEM was disputed in Nov, Dec, and Jan (i.e. 3 months) In Feb the SIG withdrew the dispute and this sequence was not disputed in Mar either. The trip above starts in Mar, but the sequence, is actually flown in Apr. As a side note, it is disputed again in APR (don't understand this one). Bottom line is BC is in the right here. However, this is why the problem is much deeper than DP flyers.

FALSELY accusing one of flying a DP hurts the cause about as much as flying one. It happened to me a few years ago when a butthead used the previous months list of DP numbers and accused me of lying when I told him to check the CURRENT list. He never had the decency to check or give the apology. He will NEVER get on my jumpseat.

Guys,

My fault and I apologize to BC, but I find it absolutely ridiculous that the CDG-STN-MEM is disputed some months but not others. Can you have it BOTH ways???????? If so, you can fire away at me all night long, but the SIG is wrong about this.

Don't bother explaining the process to me, as I know why they do it. But it is plain and simple stupid to say it's OK one month yet be called a non-member next. Maybe non member Bob is right after all.

F'in stupid.

Got a call back from DM, union leadership. Explained the DP process to me.. I was patient, explained to me how a letter was sent to the pilot who has the dp explaining, educating, etc... after they have flow one another letter if forwared to the pilot. The "two letters" are how the union is handleing the dp problem. I was assigned a dp on reserve.. never got a letter. I feel slighted.

I asked why the union doesn't come out and say, hey d.head... don't fly dp's. His reply was it's not the union's job to dictate how a member handles their professional career. ... yes that was the actual answer.... My question to that policy is why do we have professional standards then? Why even have a sig for that matter. It is the union's job to direct how some things are done... not politically correct or popular, but where have I heard "it's the right thing to do?" Some things the union should take a stand on and inform the membership, this is how we do it.. I'm getting the feeling that there's a PC environment that's overcome the union, and is keeping them from doing what the membership wants.

I spoke with him at lenght and made it very clear my disatisfaction with how the "big 3" were not supporting the sig by not endorseing the don't fly dp policy. He did seem surprised that it was noted there was a lack of leadership coming from the top on this issue. "good input Mike"

I like DM... he's the more realistic of the 3, but he needs to get the message on this dp issue. Lead or get out of the way!

anyway.. that's the quick post on it..
