A different approach...

Emails, phone calls, etc. are not working when it comes to DP's. Perhaps if the SIG took a month off and let the company build the lines the resulting a@# pain for all seats might wake some people up.

Default Another Mem MD-11 Capt loser

I saw one MD-11 Capt that is flying 2 DP's in a row. There are only 3 DP's left in open time on the Capt's side. I guess they are the least desirable of the bunch. I'm getting soo frustrated that these one way's just don't give a crap. The union needs to start turning up the heat on these jokers or nothing is going to change.

The way I look at it, month after month, I keep passing up trips that could make my commuting life easier, just to see these one ways pick them up with impunity. To add insult to injury, this month I was given a trip in a secondary line that used to be disputed but is no longer, thanks to my fellow jerkoff pilots who were just to greedy. Luckly, I was able to trade it away.

I plan on writing my LEC rep and the top three guys and let them know my disatisfaction with the process. It's dishearting to see month after month, other pilots just not giving a rats ass about anybody but their own greedy bad selves. Maybe this is a losing cause,At least in MEM. Good job in ANC and SFS!! I guess it's harder to be anonymous in smaller bases. Any ideas how we can pressure these OW to stop the madness?

amazing. and our block rep sends out at least 2 e mails prior to the vto's and open time... gotta frustrate him, takes the time to do it and it still slips through the cracks. Good on him for trying through.

This goes back to my other response. Our block rep does a great job supporting the sig with official messages to the crew force saying you are a scumbag if you fly these things. Why doesn't DW send one out? Probably too busy with ALPA national issues.

why not call him and ask him... I"m calling him on monday... WR called me last night almost 11PM and asked if I was looking for him... asked what my solution is... odd, we elected these guys to solve these problems and now we gota come up with the answers too? I'm getting back to him on monday too.

these kinds of calls seem to be getting their attention... 50 of them would be down right funny

Roger, I will call too. I think it falls on deaf ears. They have heard it many times before. I have challenged them, and their response was anger. Basically, how dare you ask the question. I wrote WH during the whole 65 issue and told him that FedEx ALPA had rolled over on us. He came unglued with me. These guys live in the ivory towers that "we" the crew force have built for them. It is like all other bureaucracies though, sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the oil, so keep *****ing.

1.A strongly worded, aggresive education plan from our assosiation's top leaders.
2. Let everyone know it advance that at the conclusion of May, a list will be verified and published for widespread distribution.
3. Memphis Captains should say to the first, I see you got some extra landings on that DP, so you probably don't need any on this trip. We don't need 100% participation. If about 25% of our Captains did this, the offending F/O s would get the message.
4. For MEM Captains, I gave up a long time ago.

How about we put some of the blame on the negotiating committee?

We are disputing the same kind of trips that were disputed prior to our "great contract". The problem with most of the MD-11 trips is the improper use of an RFO, we are just using the other parameters as an excuse.

And if anyone thinks for a minute the company is going to stop building these type of RFO three city parings I have a bridge to sell you in NY.

Yah. That'll fix it. We'll just blame the negotiating committee.

That's how we can get all these whours to stop flying the DPs.
