If the mechanic on the JS held it for us...Would that be considered secured?

OK, I'm awake now. Very impressed with the speed of the approval--hope things go smoothly. Can we get the iPad team to work on a simultaneous vacancy & excess bid software program?

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't look too closely, but that may explains why there were several cables offered by the same manufacture priced within a few bucks of each other.

Can't let your kids play Angry Birds on your company iPad.

Physical iPad Security
Regardless of location, company equipment remains the property of FedEx Express and is intended for employee use only. No other party is authorized to use the equipment under any circumstance. It is the employee's responsibility to prevent unauthorized access to company equip- ment and electronic information.

So if a crew is looking at the F/O's iPad and the CA wants a detailed look, the F/O has to tell him to pound sand?

I'm curious; what part of that makes you think an FO couldn't allow a CA to look at his iPad?

Obviously he was being facetious in that it states no one else is authorized to use it.

I do not put all the blame on the airline--the FAA and governing bodies have to allow us to use same legally. But seriously...even the JEPP app when I did have it was light years faster than the EFB. Hopefully its just a matter of time until it can become "primary" with the EFB as a "backup".
Albie, do you know if Foreflight is allowed on the company iPad? How much do you pay per year for that app? (I've seen great results with its decoding and simplification of NOTAMs -- it will scrub and decode NOTAMs to only show the ones that are in effect for ETA).
