Hello guys. I am just thinking about the career path I would like to take in the future. I am hoping to join Ameriflight. From Ameriflight I could be able to get into Omni (not guaranteed), but my long term goal may be to get into a legacy airline. Going from Ameriflight to Omni, I wouldn't ever have any time at any regionals. I've heard people say though that the legacies usually want to take people from the regionals. So I was wondering how easily Omni pilots (regardless if they have any regional hours) can get into legacy airlines? About how many years could it be good for a pilot to stick with Omni before applying for some legacy lines? For those of you at Omni do you see Omni as your end game or hope to eventually move to another airline?

You'll fly anywhere from 20-50 hours a month on average currently it seems. Some much less, and some much more.... it's just the average.

Omni has a young pilot group. Retirement over the next 3 years is only around 15 pilots plus or minus a couple. Pilots are still leaving for the big 5 if given the opportunity, but the little 3 or 4 airline companies, pilots are choosing to leave based on seniority position.
