I noticed that you guys at OMNI get to keep your airline miles, do you keep hotel points too?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, all 3 types are glass cockpit, Beechjet 400A, Premier 1, Challenger 300.

I understand that there is an obvious difference from being trained as a "customer" and being trained as an employee. I would look forward to the challenge and wouldn't take it lightly.

Default Interview in a few days

Few things I can’t iron out just reading the thread.
1: I live 1.7 hours from TUL. My home airport XNA goes nearly anywhere but it’s not on the gateway list. Can airports be added? Would Omni let me use XNA anyway? I ask because my family only has one car at the moment and not able to get another one for at least 6 months.

2: Start to finish, how long is training? (Rough numbers work too)

3: I’ve seen a few people say you can be gone from home for over a month involuntarily. Is Omni allowed to give you your days off away from home or am I misreading that?

4: The +2 extension days. Those are standard pay and you get the Over ride pay after the 18? Clarifying I read that correctly.

YMMV. They might make it a gateway but don't count on it. Alternate travel shouldn't be that difficult though if you have that many airlines serving it.

Approximately 2 months until you start IOE. You're paid from the completion of your PC.

You can't get days off on the road, but you can get the first 12 of one month OFF, be used the rest of that month, get the last 12 of the next month off, and be used right up to the start of those days. That's make a potential "worst case scenario" of 36 days in a row.

Over 18 is overtime pay (above guarantee plus daily rate) Days 17 and 18 are "override" days... basically you get the 3.56 hours credit for each day and there is no premium pay if you exceed that flight time on those days. Without overcomplicating it think of it this way: 16 days at 64 hour guarantee or 18 days at 71 hour guarantee.

1. It is possible to request a domicile be added to the approved list. The travel department will run an analysis of both the cost and suitability (in terms of frequency and variety of carriers) and get back to you with an answer. Otherwise you can request Alternate Travel which should be approved as long as the cost is similar or cheaper. Bare in mind however, if you ALT Travel at the start of your trip there is no guarantee you'll get it at the end, or vice versa, and so you might run into and issue where your car is parked at the 'wrong' airport.

2. My class was early this year and from day 1 of Indoc to completion of Sims was just shy of 2 months. Add in another month or so for OE.

3. The maximum number of days you can be involuntarily held out is 4 in a month, with a limit of no more than twice in a rolling 3 month period. However, it is possible that you might end up working the last 16-18 days off one month and the first 16-18 if the next. You'd have to be very unlucky for it to happen, but it is feasible. Some people might bid for that in order to get their days off to align with their plans. Your OFF days will always be at home (or some other 'mutually approved location'). However, you will receive your Part 117 mandated rest on the road (eg 30hrs).

4. The +2 days are called Override Days. Each day not received pays 3.56 hours on top of guarantee. The way they work is as follows: the company will designate 2 of your 18 as OVRD at the start of the month, but that is mostly meaningless. At the end of the month, you need to look back and see how many of your 18 ON days you were away from home. In order for a day at home to be considered an Override Day you must be either completely free from duty or only on Long Call reserve, Short Call does not count. Anything on top of your 18 is called Call Out or OT.

Good luck with the interview!

Hey guys/gals. I was curious at the % increase you received on the recent contract you signed. I thought it was generally around 65% and was curious if anyone could enlighten me of the truth? Thanks.
