Justin Guyer - Memorial

Omni lost a good one. Justin only flew the line for a few years before a previously undetected heart condition took him out of flying and took his life a few years later. A great dude who always had a smile on his face and took care of his crews during his many years as a Mesa Captain.

He was proud of his time flying the 767 for Omni, and had been hoping that someday he could return from medical and get back into an Omni cockpit doing what he loved. RIP brother.

Default Travel to Training?

Does Omni buy you a ticket to training or do you have to get yourself there? Thanks

Yes.

That said, they are in the middle of changing the hiring process and may be switching to an outside company to process applications (airlineapps.com I believe)

What the new process / footprint / travel will look like isn't finalized. That's probably why there's been such a delay answering many questions.

The training pay from the website says $1,000 on the 15th and last day of the month plus domestic per diem of $2.30. Dumb question from an Air Force guy....is that $2.30 per day?

Received a CJO back in August but since my availability isn't till May it's been quiet since I turned in all my CJO paperwork stuff. Anyone know what the 2023 training schedule will look like? Was hoping to start training in May when I start terminal leave from the Air Force.

Per diem rate is hourly. In training, it should be on a running 24 hr clock. Daily would be $55.20

Gotcha. Thanks. I’ve definitely been in places where the military paid $3.50/day so I wanted to double check. 😀

Default Extra pay

Dump questions cause I didn’t see anyone talk about these. Does Omni have any year end bonus or profit sharing?

Training department/instructor quality/pass rate? Is it as good as ATI and ABX which I heard were fantastic training?

Min turbine required for interview?
