Most people at Omni have a far better quality of life away from work than they would at any major.

100% Omni Air home basing is the reason we can keep anyone around at all in this market. If Delta, United, FedEx, etc. ever go to home, or semi-home basing, or even positive space, Omni is going to see a mass exodus. My theory anyway.

This is accurate. It's the main reason I stayed there as long as I did.

you can bid into a separate program that is 80 hour credit. It’s seniority based award when/if the are vacancies, very specific limited flying to a few select destinations. It requires a security clearance.

the pilot group is in three sewerage groups for bidding

777
767 - program (80 hour)
767 - general population

RSV lines just say reserve short or long call, none are city specific. There are occasionally lines to go sit long/short in cities overseas, but that doesn’t really happen domestic very often absent a special contract needing it. They are just as likely to send you to Seattle or AFW to sit Hotel reserve, as they are to simultaneously send somebody from there to sit Hotel reserve in BWI.

There are a lot of reserve days in BWI, but getting them assigned to you is a crap shoot.

this is accurate. Sadly, I wouldn’t expect a new contract for another year and a half at this point…..

Yet that did not stop them from just proposing domicile style cargo operations….. again.
last time it was 10 A330’s…. Which it looks like Hawaiian took on.
now it’s 25 brand new 777F’s as a teaser….

my Union speaks for me.

I’ll never Jumpseat commute and do crashpads ever again.

I hope domicile style cargo operations would come with Fedex/UPS style pay rates and work rules!
