Keep the 4 day sits in xyz being home based flying dod and whoever wants to fly rubber dog crap back to Tokyo for higher pay can do that.

Yeah, so they'll switch jobs to commute. Makes sense. Or our union could perhaps negotiate the best of both worlds. I'm rapidly losing faith in them. Haven't even sent out a poll in 2+ years to see what people want.
