No, it’s not a requirment in life. The majors provide the most money with the best quality of life of any job flying airplanes in the entire world. That is everyone’s goal, isn’t it? To make the most money while having the best quality of life possible? If that’s not your goal, then a major probably isn’t where you want to be.

So what’s the quality of life at Swift then? Without a CBA or contract or Union?
The top 15 that get all the “special” deals? The Blue Falcons that won’t hesitate to call Scheduling and have a fellow captain taken off a trip that they want?
The no-we-don’t-have-homebasing but the top 15 deal-makers miraculously always get an airline ticket to where the trip starts?
Only reason Swift is surviving is because others have even worse management. Or they ran the VP off the runway. That didn’t help either.
If you think Swift is a good airline you need to have your medical revoked.
You’re delusional.

Guys like you just can't stop assuming that your version of QoL fits everybody the same. Most people know what they want/need/desire from their lives. The guys that want to work for majors know that already. The ones that don't have their reasons, and are also aware of what they want already. So what is it that you hope to achieve by forcing your career outlook and plans on others? You should be glad there's guys who like different flavors, more jobs for ya'll to have at the major of your choice.

1st day in class and it was clear how much I wasn't getting at an ACMI. I made up for the pay by 2nd yr. Worked fewer days also.
Work at a major is super easy. Still miss the good crews and places we went in the ACMI world but it sure was a lot of work

I worked at an ACMI for a long time. We always thought we had it pretty good. I made the move to a major. Leaving the left seat for the right once again thinking it'll take a while to make up the difference in pay, qol, etc.

Yep but I’m sure if we could all get a job at southwest and Delta we’d be there! Regional flying was cake compared to charter!

Upgrade time at this point probably about a year.
Bases as of now IWA STL CLE MIA, future basing SAT and ENV.
European pay 120hr guarantee, almost $90/day per diem, completion bonuses for 3, 4, 5 months ranging from 12-20K. One ticket a month for significant other to come stay.
Classes right now will probably resume about August time frame.
Class of about 22 starting on April 23rd. Xtra pilot coming to Swift I think only about 16 coking over.
First set of upgrades doing their OEs and fed rides next week.
No Pay raises announced yet still as listed on APC.
