Well, right now Im doing that 30 day take home stuff. Then I go to the main office for that week of stuff, then I go to Montreal for two weeks, when the normal new hires have to go to montreal for 6 weeks I think.

But whats really funny is, a guy from the training dept called me yesturday cause hes was concerned why I havent started any of my online studying, he said that I was supposed to come in next week for my class at the main office. I told him that I was not doing that stuff till august 11 because thats the deal I made with Lisa and Ann. He told me that he never recieved that info and also that Lisa, Ann, and 2 or 3 others all quite on the same day last week so nobody really knows whats going on.

My buddy from my other airline also interviewed, got the offer, and he has been trying to accept the offer for two weeks now and he has no idea if anyone even knows that he is trying to accept it. But he has a class date, just that technically noboday has told him anything. He can't get anyone to respond to him.

Hey skippy, as far as the people go, everyone that I met during the interview proccess where very laid back people. However, those people that interviewed me a month ago are no longer there, so Im not really sure what to tell you. As far as the pilots from Northwest that were there to interview me, they were down to earth and laid back just like everyone else.

Im at home studying right now and not getting paid, which for me is fine cause im getting unemployment from being furloughed and im making more on unemployment that what compass can pay me. They told me once you come to training in msp for that week, you start getting paid there and in montreal, not sure how much the perdiem is, sorry. Still a little new to the program. Everyone I talk to said that training is good.

The test is some type of ATP test and I failed it miserably!!!! I finished it in less than 20min. Some of the questions were just DUMB! Combo of dispatcher duty limits and weather questions that I could not even make a good guess at. I finally just started answering everything with the letter c just because i was annoyed with it. I got the impression from Ann that the test did not really mean much, I think its more of a time killer while they make copies of your certs. I still got hired. Must have been my winning steller personality that did it in the end, cause i know i failed the test, no joke!!!

I hope it's not a week til i get the info, that would put me a day before my scheduled interview!! I could've sworn that the girl who called me mentioned that they footed the hotel bill but after reading this and on aviation interviews, it seems that's not so. On aviationinterviews.com it seems the Town Place Marriott is the recommended one, mention Compass interview and it seems you get a 65.00 rate and free shuttle ride. If you can check out aviationinterviews.com Best of luck!!

I stayed at the BestWester Dakota Ridge on Yankee Doodle. Just tell them you are with Mesaba and they give you a discount. It think it was like $64 with the discount. I stayed there for my week of training in MSP. Good breakfast and transportation to and from the training center.

Some guys stay at the Days in at the Mall of America. Tell them you are with Northwest and its $40 per night.

You can also try the La Qunita. Once again, you work for NWA if they ask and it's $42. However, they are the only once that require an airline I.D. for the discount. You might be better off telling them you are an airline employee.

The Homestead was one that was close to the training center also. Last year they didnt have a discount for Compass but they might now. Call and find out

Spring Hill Suit has a discount for Compass, last year it was $62 per night. Could be different now...

Hope this helps
