How long can you expect to be on reserve as a new hire in MSP or DTW? What base will you fly more on reserve? Has there been much movement lately?

I am MSP based, From what I hear, it takes a long time to hold a line in DTW compared to MSP. I was able to get MSP right out of training.

This month 28 full lines in DTW and 2 partials for 50 FO's
Next month is projecting 34 lines for 50 FO's. November 2010 is the bottom lineholder and has been since May. |

Does anyone know how many new hires they have hired and how many they are planning on hiring through 2012?

I'm doing the home study right now. I start Indoc the 2nd week of January, don't know about the bidding yet, and still looking for a crashpad. I'll let you know if I find one. Did you get hired?

You will put your base preferences on your orientation day. Then you will have to wait for a vacancy bid to come out to find out your base.
As for your actual days of work it will depend. They base it on when you are going to complete IOE. So if you will not finish until the end of April, then you will start bidding in May. |
