That's true. And that's why there wasn't any additional relevent information included in my last post. Because their isn't any. But, since we're continuing this tangent away from my original question, Who's to say that a pilot can't be hired at a job fair? It happens all the time. And if i need to go to MSP to continue that process then I will cross that bridge if I get to that point.
By the way, does anyone know if Compass plans on any job fairs in the southwest?
Thanks.

Compass doesn't do any direct hiring at job fairs. At least not yet. We still require you to take 3 computer based tests, a HR interview, and a pee test in MSP.

No. They might be planning on attending a future one though, so it may behoove you to call the recruiters directly and ask.

Yes, that's what I think sunshine. Because of my outstanding charisma and expert piloting skills, they will be fighting with each other to hire me on the spot. Look, if you have nothing to contribute to my question, it's best to ignore it. Your advice for the day. You're welcome...

Your attitude is awful man. You had a straight answer given to you that you won't be hired at a job fair. Period. There was no reason to become sarcastic right away, especially if you're trying to get a job here. I know it's an anonymous forum, but sometimes it is easy to put bits and pieces of the info together for the recruiters to decipher who is behind the comment (and trust me, recruiters come here and read this stuff). I hate to say it without knowing you, but I secretly hope you just burned your bridge to Compass because I honestly don't wanna fly with someone like you.

i think its more the fact that people are telling you that you can't be hired at a job fair and for some reason you think you are a special flower and an exception to that.

I don't want to fly with you either with that attitude either. All someone has to do to figure out who you are is to look at your threads created history. Pretty specific.

Behoove, funny word. Actually I have tried calling HR several times only to be greeted by voicemail so I thought I would tap into the vast professional knowledge on APC with the hopes to expedite an answer. It's clear that my expectations were over estimated. Although, "no" is an answer. So, thanks.

Perhaps a little insight into why my comments became arrogant and obnoxious. one word, "drama". A simple question about a job fair was spun into assumptions and accusations about me that couldn't be further from the truth. About as simple as that.
Allow me to answer that, No, i was not given a straight answer and based on where you picked up the conversation, you chose not to follow it from my original unbiased simple question. Instead, I was answered with additional questions and assumptions like, "why don't i just call them" and "you're not going to get hired at a job fair anyway" Neither of which was addressed in my question. Now, if I seem a little irritated by the fact that such a simple question would rattle so many feelings and send all here into a frenzy of drama , then that sounds like something that needs addressed addressed on individual levels instead of taking what was a very simple direct, non attacking question and turning it into a mini soap opera. As far as sharing a cockpit, anyone who's feelings are teetering on the edge based on a simple Job fair question isn't someone I want to be sharing the skies with either. And if Compass wants to condemn me from employment because I asked a simple unassuming question then I have to believe a valuable lesson has been learned by all in this charade.. Including me.

Ok, I probably should have left this topic where it was. I couldn't, however, leave that part without a comment. You were not attacked because you asked questions. Please read your responses, especially the one in which you sarcastically refer to somebody who's trying to answer your question as "sunshine" - (regardless how good that person's answer was). That one comment alone sets a tone to your approach and attitude. Your attitude that emanates from your comments is the reason people "jumped" at you. As I said earlier, it's an anonymous forum and you can call people whatever you want. All I wanted to say is that it may not be the smartest thing to do providing you are trying to get hired here. Anyway, good luck and take it easy!
