I don't think anything can save us from this summer. The company got too far behind on training 9 months ago and now the summer poop storm that's been brewing all year is here. There's just too much flying for too few pilots. That's why I'm so confused by the low credit pairings. Hopefully that changes next month, but the summer schedule is probably set.

 

Exactly...must not be as short staffed as everyone thinks.

 

So the question still stands. When DO they apply that 4 hour min day credit?
I had a 32 hour overnight in GEG (arrived before midnight the first night) so there was a complete day off. FLICA is not showing the 4 hour credit for the day off there. I'm really confused about how it all works, but wouldn't the credit be there by now?

 

Just for the fun of it, what type of TT and MT are earning someone an interview at Compass? I haven't visited the board since March of 2014 so I thought I'd ask.

 

From what I know, FLICA or the payroll system isn't capable or they are working on integrating it and thats what the holdup has been. So if you don't see it on your FLICA schedule, ensure that you look at the paystub info when its published and make sure its on there.

 

Conference call thing:
-Randow will be new president of Ameriflight.
-Performance is bad on DL. SEA opens up June 1.
-Things are about to get real all up in here with low staffing and high summer block hours. Said it's lowest staffing situation he's seen since 2009 when 36 aircraft got delivered. Said couldn't fill new hire classes in March-now, so they had to reduce upgrades to balance both sides. Mentioned that it was requested to DL to get block hours decreased to help ease burden and that it should be more normal after summer rush.
- Received AA aircraft #5, will be a spare, will be getting 3 a month still and performance is good on it. Most issues on AA D:0 and A:14 are suspected to be incorrectly estimated block hours, and management wants to get it corrected. AA bennies are coming but no news, as company is no longer working directly with AA but myIDTravel on setting it up.

I think that's a Pilots perspective. Here he had to answer to TSH. At Ameriflight, I don't think there is a holding company. So he will be in charge.
