No one voted you forum monitor and you don't get to decide what topics people can write about or not.
Is this a huge issue? Nah...not at all.
And thanks for your concern, but I have been successful in my studies thus far without you.

I'm betting the next big upgrade bid hits guys still in new hire orientation. Any takers?

I respectfully disagree, upgrading is not easy. It's already a steep learning curve for anyone who has experience in the E170 and is familiar with our AOM/FOM. I'm glad you think it's such an easy job but that's not the case for most. Someone hired with no jet time and little experience with our operations and upgrades right our of FO training is in for a rough ride. Add to that flying with an inexperienced FO right out of CA IOE and you're in for a ride.

A large number of airline pilots in Europe and Asia start on the right seat of A320s and B737s with 250-300 hours through cadet programs or specialized training such as the Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL). As long as the training/upgrade programs do their job in ensuring that nobody gets in either seat without being fully qualified to do so, I don't see an issue with "low time" CA/FOs.
