I didn't check my sources, so I went to the CDC website. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/index.html
Turns out the 2017-2018 flu season in the US was the worst with regards to deaths in the last decade: It was responsible for 61,000+ deaths in the US. Damn, thats a lot! But, I suspect it's beyond your mental capacity to recognize that 61,000 figure was attained over an entire flu season, with no one really giving an F about it and going about their daily lives.
Now, COVID has only disposed of 45,000+ people in the US. But, think really hard about this: That figure was reached inside of 60 days with the majority of the American population put on high alert using a combination of government lockdown mandates, social distancing efforts and shuttered businesses.
You tell me which "flu" is more of a threat...buddy

I also took the liberty to re-make the meme with accurate data:

I'll post it again. Only 6 US states have yet met or eclipsed last seasons flu deaths, while most states are not even close. When you're only focused on the national number, you lack some context. NY, NJ, etc are grossly skewing the data. This is as of yesterday. For the 44 states that haven't met their Flu death tally from the corona virus, the average corona virus death toll sits at 24% of Flu deaths. Be afraid!!

If it worked, it would be called "Medicine"
I remember "Alternative Medicine" being defined as: "Not proven to work or proven to NOT work"
Also.. your name.... follow it.

you are right, I made an assumption that he was talking about medicine not pushed by mainstream big pharm. melatonin vs ambian, Cbd vs opiod, arnica vs Advil, sweet Annie vs heavy anti viral meds. I was wrong and I apologize.

And why don't you realize that COVID-19 is very dependant on geographic hotspot outbreaks?

Since you like pulling stuff out if thin air, heres the definition of altenative medicine:
al·ter·na·tive med·i·cine
/ôlˈtərnədiv ˈmedəsən/
noun
- any of a range of medical therapies that are not regarded as orthodox by the medical profession, such as herbalism, homeopathy, and acupuncture.
Examples of alternative medicine:
Alternative medicine: Alternative medicine is the term for medical products and practices that are not part of standard care. ... Examples of alternative practices include homeopathy, traditional medicine, chiropractic, and acupuncture. Complementary medicine is different from alternative medicine.

You’re right. I picked up an inaccurate meme. But I also conceded it was in error and replaced it with a meme that reflects the reality of the moment.
The second meme is SPOT ON.
You also haven’t acknowledged the spew of misinformation in your original posting. Or the fact I illuminated your gross ignorance on the issue.
But that’s alright. I know you’re reading this.
