also, there would be huge opposition to making voting easier and able to be done from a phone.

There's a lot of persuasive language, but no details, sources, or any real facts.
Here's a list of things Trump has done that're morally questionable:
https://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/...rocities-1-976
I couldn't find anything similar for Biden about character. I found a lot about cringey misspeaks though:
https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-ne...-verbal-gaffes
Here's his entire voting record:
https://justfacts.votesmart.org/cand...9/joe-biden-jr
Out of curiosity, how do you explain to your kids things like Trump making fun of a disabled journalist, on air? Or the "grab em by the p**sy" stuff? I mean, those aren't loose allegations, he actually did that stuff, and as soon as your kids can Google search they'll see the videos.
My point is, as long as Trump is around, the GOP can't take a moral high ground and not sound extremely hypocritical. If you prefer the GOP platform, fine. If you think Biden has dementia, fine. But ignoring the skeletons in Trump's closet is indefensible, especially when there's video, audio, or a Tweet for everything and the guy has literally never apologized or shown remorse for anything. I know Biden is far from perfect, but if this were a football game, the score would be 49-7. I'd just like to see a list of what Biden does that compares to Trump's list. Not individual things, but an actual list.

POTUS is not an athlete, nor actor, nor an entertainer.
He is the leader of the United States and the free world.
You may not get it, but to many, both in the local and international arena, etiquette, decorum, empathy, and character are very important qualities at the head of state level of leadership. Yes, my kids will be exposed to all manner of nastiness, from all different sources, but it's all the more reason why we need those institutions, of which the presidency is one, to demonstrates to us that decency and integrity are still important virtues in our society.
As for his "excellent results"..
Sure, he's juiced up the economy, with tax cuts to corporations and the rich, and has spent like a "drunken sailor" sending the stock market to record breaking territory, but at what price? At some point, we'll have to pay the piper.
Our tariffs war with China, has ended up hurting us more than it has them. It's a tough guy image that plays well to you, but the reality is that just like drugs, America is hooked on "Made in China", and it's going to take far more than bluster and braggadocio to get one over on them. They're playing chess while we're playing checkers.
And Mexico is yet to pay for a wall.
Where are the fiscal and moral conservatives whenever you need one?
The Republican party and conservatives have abandoned their platforms and values, have sold their souls, and have abandoned democracy and civility because either POTUS makes them "feel good", or they have to assuage his ego, lest he decapitate their political career with a single tweet.

Look, I'm not a Biden fanboy but attempting to paint him in an equivalent or worse light than Trump is flat out mental gymnastics of epic proportions. The cult is strong and Trump was pretty much correct when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose one voter. He isn't wrong about his base...errr cult members, but his continued assault on reason, decency and dignity proved to make him a one term embarrassment. Good riddance.

They both suck. Arguing who is worse is like debating the worst way to die.
My old man was on a local LE protection detail for Biden back when he was VP. Over his 33 years of service, he did a LOT of these for politicians. He said the guy was a grade-A *******. Didn’t thank any of the local guys for their help. Didn’t treat USSS much better. Couldn’t be bothered. He had lunch at a place and the local cops (part of his detail) had their cars parked out front. He made them move their cars out of his line of sight because he didn’t want to see them while he ate lunch. Imagine being that much of a prick.
I don’t like Trump at ALL, but all this ‘Biden is a great man, respected by all’ stuff is horse****. He puts up a good facade when the cameras are rolling, just like every other politician and, as he ages, the cracks are starting to show more frequently.
How these two were the best America could offer, I will never understand.

Joe Biden's track record speaks for itself.
He is well respected on both sides of the aisle, and has a solid reputation as a moderate who is willing to negotiate and compromise.
Trump knew that of all the Democratic candidates in the primary, Joe posed the most dangerous threat to his re-election because after 40 odd years in politics, his reputation is beyond reproach. That's why he pressured Ukraine to dig up dirt, and that bore no fruit.
Look, we are talking about comparisons here..
Biden is a hugger and a hair stroker. That's just Uncle Joe! Lol
POTUS? He's a Camel Toe grabber!
Pliagarism? Joe made a mistake, shouldn't have done it. He paid a price because it sank his first presidential campaign, and I'm sure he learned from his mistake.
POTUS? His niece mentions in her book that someone took his SATs for him. By extension, do you really think he did all his assignments by himself in college? POTUS never pays a price for his misdeeds.
As for the idea that Biden is a racist, that is a political fabrication and laughable.....

Sadly, the same cannot be said for POTUS.
We need to check if POTUS is from Texas, because he just does everything bigger. lol

Biden has his own issues with racism, women, and plagiarism. He stood by quietly while his supporters spit on and attacked police and tour apart family businesses (after months of this, he did finally speak out against it but only after it started effecting his polling numbers). That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could come up with more if I wanted to spend more time on it and there's plenty of info on it out there if you really are interested in it. You probably are not though.
As to your question as to how to explain to my kids some of Trumps despicable actions, I certainly don't hide or defend them. Neither of them are anyone I'd put up as role models. BTW, both my kids are old enough to google. One can vote.

I'm already aware of all of those issues.
There was an alleged rape, he passed legislation that in the long-run hurt minorities, and he plagiarized a speech while running for POTUS in '88 that caused him to drop out. Comparatively, 26 women have cases against Trump for sexual misconduct, he inarguably practiced housing discrimination, and he has a long record of swindling people (Trump University, not paying his design firm for the Atlantic City casino, etc, etc). Just because the Cleveland Browns score touchdowns every now and then doesn't mean they're as good as the Pats. The score matters.
I get that nobody's perfect and people change, but I'm concerned about who they are, right now. Biden has expressed that he can learn from mistakes (War on Drugs, Crime Bill, etc) and change his policies to reflect that. I don't see Trump doing any deep self reflection. I see him getting caught red handed doing things that are wrong, and nobody, least of all his followers, holds him accountable. So if people cheer him on regardless of what he does, how far does it go?

But how long do you really think they'll let Sleepy Joe run the show?
While Joe is signing EO after EO the afternoon of January 20th, Kamala will be across the Oval Office measuring the drapes.
SHE is the one we're worried about. And as airline pilots, y'all should be too.
